Rock stacks - not necessarily Yowie-made :)

Thought those of you who are interested in whether rock stacks are a sign of territorial markers placed by Yowies might also find this artform interesting. Of course, there's a difference between finding a rock stack in a much-frequented location and finding one in the middle of nowhere, particularly if there are no walking tracks in the area....

Hummm,

Some of those rocks seem to defy the laws of physics lol.

Have heard from a friend that while walking near a stream in Springbrook she noticed a huge number (100s of them) of rock stacks that covered a large area of the stream.
The thing that made her scratch her head was that the stacks were not there the day before!.

Yeah,

rock stacks just dont stack up to anything for me, i get around alot in the NT from WA to QLD borders and i see rock stacks/cairns all over the place and there is nothing that tells me that these are anything other than man made, even ones that are hundreds of kilometers from towns or communities can easily be constructed by the many many tourists that permiate our countryside.
