Found this doing the rounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzELdzjXVQk

The funny part is they have to put a square around the thing in case you don't know where to look (no brains)

I thought it could have been fake, but watching it again looks like whatever it is tried to walk out on the branch it was sitting in, as there is a huge snap in the branch.

Could be real, what it is I don't know, but people are saying its a porcupine bit large for a porcupine in my opinion.

It has me stumped

I'm voting for porcupine.

They are quite big, but if you google 'porcupine up tree' you will see the colour and spiky 'hairy' appearance look very similar. Porcies chew like crazy too.

There's one called the "North American Tree Porcupine" too.

from here ^ " ...Wintertime is usually when the worst tree damage occurs because smaller vegetation is scarce..."

Kind regards,
Shazz

Could be shazz could be........I still think it looks a little large to be a porcupine but then again I haven't seen a porcupine.
