I found this footage on yotube with the following information.

"this eyeshine video was captured by the bfro. anything by the bfro is likely authentic, they know what they're doing. "

Makes you wonder why people would bother going to all the trouble of 'finding' a BF, and when they do, say it's time to "Git outta ear"? Really defeats the purpose one would think. Knowing most BF researchers, they were most likely to have been armed with enough weapons to over throw a small Country, however still had to 'Git outta ear'..... *shakes head*

If you listen closely at the end I could have sworn the guy says "alright bubba". I'm now imagining a guy packing a double-barreled shotgun, toted over his shoulder. "Gawn, lets git outta hyer!"

As Dean said, totally defeats the purpose. Wouldn't you think they'd go closer? Try and capture more than just eyeshine?

I have nothing against the BFRO at all.. but that video made me think twice about their investigative techniques.

"HEY MAW, I SEE'S ME A BIGFOOT.. LETS GIT OUTTA HYER"

This whole video screams "HOAX" at me--or just possibly a mistaken ID of a probable raccoon. I know nothing about the BFRO except hearsay, and little of that hearsay is good, but that's neither here nor there.

No self-respecting American Bigfoot would just stand there and let itself, even just its eyeshine, be filmed to the tune of an East Texas or Deep South voice debating whether to "git outa hyer" or not. Eyeshine could be anything--usually a possum or a coon. This is just SICK--nauseating, vomitous--on account of the fact that the filmmakers are insulting the intelligence of even an aged armchair researcher such as I. Get that fool thing away from me before I get mad.

I say to those idiots: "Git over yerself, git outa hyer and git a life!!!!!" Asinine holes. They, not the Bigfoot, ought to be shot dead. This has all the signs and symptoms of a Tom Biscardi trick--same style, just less elaborate. Such hoaxers need killing. (no no) (thumb Down)  (kill)

Thank you, Stainmaster.

BTW, I've heard this about Bigfoot: You're right, don't ever just run. Back slowly away, keeping your eyes down and your arms lowered, hands palms out. Don't ever smile, as they are said to take that as a threatening gesture because when they "smile", it is really a snarl to show their longer upper teeth. Don't scream, LOL! All this is hearsay, of course. I've never been fortunate enough to have had even a distant sighting, let alone up close and personal. (taz)

Hoax, hoax, hoax! Guess his mother made him what he is. (no no)

As far as I know (anyone correct me if i'm wrong here) but since they're mostly nocturnal - they have the same type of eyes as cats, possums, etc. Example. Find a cat at night, turn off all the lights and shine a torch into its eyes for a second from a distance. You'll see the same red/yellow coloring.

Same as with possums. Their eyes are the first thing you see up in the trees with a torch before you actually see them steal food off your damn plate!

Is it possible to enhance the image in this video as was the case with the 2006 Blue Mountains video , just to see what is BACK THERE .

Yes, yes there is. I'll get onto it right away *salutes and fires up his Adobe Premiere machine* (i don't just do pictures you know (uh uh) )

Edit:
As much as I play around with the brightness, contrast, colour control, zooming.. since I had to convert from .flv to .avi it lost some of its quality. Not much, but when you're playing around with those settings you gain a lot of artifacts. BUT - I have the converted .avi on my PC now so if anyone else wants a go, drop me a line & i'll send it.
(no brains)

But from what corrections I did.. it looked more like an owl - no clear view of any head whatsoever, or body - and with eyeshine that bright you should be able to pull something more out of it than just a vague head-like outline that looks more like an owls head than anything else. The branches didn't help one bit either. First go around, playing with the brightness - I saw what I thought was its head.. but it was one of the branches turning upwards that made it look like a head.

Hey Deadpool

Maybe it's just me but after looking at that vid over and over you can almost make out the shape of a head , not unlike the beasty in the patty film which is the 2nd picie in your avatar strip . I know it's probably just due to having a hard day at work and it being late at night but there does appear to be a faint outline ?????? .

Al and Alex, I'm awaiting more input from yall with great interest. My only feeble comment is that the American barn owl when roosting might have an outlilne vaguely similar to Patty's head. Duh.....that's stretching it, but I shall be awaiting your replies! (stupid)

That, and in the last few frames of the video before the "git outta thar" - the eyes seem to go almost on a 90 degree angle, like its cocking its head..
.. like how owls can move their heads in all kinds of weird & wonderful ways.

Could be anything, to me the eyeballs seem a bit too spread apart for an owl at that distance

Sorry guys..

What makes this BS is they don’t shine the light directly at the creature responsible for the eye shine. (As anybody would if confronted with that situation). Instead they concentrate the light to the side and not directly at the source. To me they're just trying to maximise the eye shine effect.

Good pick up Strange and it was a fairly weak light source at that , not what I would take out into the American woods with all of the nasty critters that hang out in those parts .

Even your standard issue mag light would perform much better , my kids spot possums high up in the trees in my back yard with just a simple dolphin torch they are much further off than the subject in the video and you can clearly see that its a possum so

HOAX , HOAX , HOAX . (burnt up)

Al, I had never heard of the Australian possum, only the American ones. Which was not good thinking on my part, since Australia is full of native marsupials. The pictures on Google of your types of possum are just precious and don't look like ours at all...well, maybe vaguely. (claps hands) (thumb up)

Hey Scuba, same with American possums!

But coons are worse on account of the fact that they infest your home and eat up all the cat food you leave out. The solution to that is to get a dog. My first dog, in 1994, was a blue heeler, AKA Australian cattle dog, who just showed up. He died at age 15 from cancer, RIP. All coons were gone within 24 hours, and there were at least 30 of them living under the house. Coons kill young cats too, which possums do not. (death)

I also had a precious little 3-legged skunk living under my house for a few years. Some people don't like their smell, but I don't mind it at all. (jest)

American possums play dead when attacked by dogs. I used to just pick them up by their tails and place them in a tree fork, after which they would revive. (ninja)

Hell yeah, and let you know about it too the noisy buggers. Give me monitor lizards any day.

I just checked on Google, and there seem to be several different kinds of Australian monitor lizards. None in America that I know of, at least not in Texas or Oklahoma. They're cute as can be! (claps hands)

I have a nice little hobby of painting small animals and birds, which fills my time since I've been retired. Currently painting a beautiful white, lemuroid Australian possum, copied from Google images--how I wish we had those in Texas, but apparently they're endangered even over there in Australia. I hope they can be saved, they are so incredibly beautiful. (ninja) (taz)
