A theory..

Ok, was thinking about this walking home today. In the USA you have bigfoot, in PNG and there abouts, the Orang-Pidek or whatever it is, around Russia; the Almas, in Asia, the Yeti.

MY theory is this.. well, i've read stories about encounters with the Almas, and they said that it was wearing animal skins.. and using tools. In america, the bigfoot carries off people and.. studies them.. and then you have our friend here, the yowie who just chases people and is a general nusiance.

Maybe.. we're looking at different evolutions of.. what man was? Or something along those lines. Using tools/wearing skins denotes intelligence. As does carrying off people to study them. Whereas the yowie just chases people. That, and scares them. It's like.. they're all over the place, but arrived at different time periods, and because of that, evolved at a different rate. Maybe, if we don't find the yowie in the next 1000 odd years, it'll be car-pooling and coming to work or something.

Just a thought.. :?

thats an interesting thought. Makes alot of sense to me. Do you think the concept of yowies and bf being a different strand of human makes it easier or harder for people to believe? I think that people would never admit there was anyting near human but themselves...in my opinion humans are the stupidist anaimals ever, We are the only ones with the power to fix the world and the only ones that are doing anything to hurt it...plus alot of people dont believe in ufo's and aliens...but if u ask me its ignorant and just silly to think that humans are the smartest life forms in the whole universe...just silly...but heres a thought, What if ufo's are time machines and aliens are highly eveolved humans from the very distant future(i know fabiric of time blah blah but im just saying)

I've heard that theory before. Basically, it goes along the lines of people from the future are coming back & checking out how life was.. today, and seeing how they can prevent that from happening ever again. But on that, you'd have to believe that.. everything we do is for a reason, not just random. The "Grandfather Paradox" comes into it, all very confusing, but interesting all the same.

And on the whole, hominids being a backwards strand of humans, it could very well be possible. But I don't think it'd make it any easier for people to believe. It's the same thing, and people are very stubborn. It's a nice thought though.
