Hi Guys,
I'm Shane, and well to be honest I've got no idea .
A number of years ago, leaving Noosa enroute to Brisbane, a work mate and I saw something in our headlights, crossing the road. We were both tired, I was driving a Commodore with standard headlights, we both joked that it was a huge hairy red roo, we needed sleep etc.
I wish I could either catagorically state that I saw a huge red, but It didnt "bounce", or I saw a Bi Ped, but perhaps I mistook its tail for a leg and with the headlight shadows I may have mistaken a hop for a stride.
Anyhow, I'm here to explore , and see if you folk have seen anything similar.
Thanks for letting me join your forum
Shane

Welcome Shane.
Boy you should have stayed in Noosa if you wanted to see Crypto Beings. Some of my strangest sightings have been around the National Park area. A lot of real ugly hairy things, a few with heavily matted hair, both male and female. Probably not Yowie but more a sub- species. They try to communicate verbally, source of language not known and judging by facial expression struggled to understand any English, often replied with disgusting body postures and hand signals. They did hang around in small groups or may have been families and had one major similarity to Yowie was an overpowering nauseating smell. I will do no more research in that area fearing for my life.

P.S. Most of us are serious.
If you get across the Noosa river I am sure that between the coast and lakes you will find the real thing.
A pyramid was bulldozed in that area during the war and also the biggest earthquake recorded by early explorers in same location. Interesting area.

Re: Newbie
I was working in the Centrelink offices, so I saw some interesting animals, good ,bad and fantastic!
As an IT contractor, I've done a lot of miles in the NT, QLD and Northern NSW, and before that I was a soldier, so I've walked the ground, seen some strange sights, and I'm used to dodging roos.
Maybe I was too tired that night, it had been a long day, but I dont think Reds live near the coast, and of the many roos I've seen, none have been "shaggey" (my GSD bitch has a well defined double coat, and when she's shedding she reminds me of that "Roo", felt coming out below guard hair - Shepherd owners will know what I mean)
I'm struggling to interprit the tone of your post, so I apologise if I've been a bit "narky"

Re: Newbie
Sorry about the tone of my post, but I'm used to being ridiculed on this subject.
I'd like to investigate further, maybe going off the beaten track and setting up a couple of trail cams, but to be honest I dont know where to start.
I'm enjoying the forum, and I hope to become a valuable contributor.
