Panther sighting Kallista/The Patch

Unread post by PURE PANTHER »

Hey everyone im new to this thing but the legend of the patch panther has always intrigued me
My grandfather (dashboard) told me about this website and told me to post anything i saw or heard about, anyway in 2008 my friends younger brother used to walk home from his school in the patch to his home in Kallista and he and his friend told me about how for a couple weeks on there way home they heard growling noises but never saw anything.
But one day my friends father was standing on the back verandah of his home looking at the view when he saw a VERY large black cat walking along the same track that his children walk on each day.
i was interested when they told me all this because my mum is always telling storys of the patch panther and stuff, i reported it to a man that my mum knew because he studies them and believes that they are definately out there

Hey Pure Panther

I grew up in The Patch in fact went to The Patch Primary school, small world hey, this is the first I have heard of any sightings from the area though, I’d be interested to hear of anything else from the area if you come across it.

Cheers

gday guys
it seems there was many sightings about a decade or more ago around the national park near olinda, im now living in the area and am doing my best to flush out any cats or thylacine.
the forests in the dandenongs are all linked together and eventually connect to the bunyip state forest via creeks and bush corridoors. my thinking is the dandenongs are not a permanent home to hese animals but somewhere they might come into occaisonaly to find food or to mate. i have a trail cam set up in the park so hoping that some activity may increase soon with the return to the normal weather patterns of a decade or so ago.
ON THE OCCASION WHEN IM NOT WRONG, IM ALWAYS RIGHT!

I was interested to see your posts about the big cat that I knew of when I was a kid.
If you have a look back for an older post titled "Big cat, Macclesfield Vic 1960's - '70's" you'll find what I posted up about this same area a while back.
