Nice one Mr X.
That's one mighty big something. Ostriches have two toes, hippos have four (someone shot a hippo recently in Oz) the new zealand Moa has three toes but its prints are more bird like, not a croc. I htink they are right about it being some type of bird.
More than puzzling.
Cheers Buck

Below is the report:
ABC Kimberley WA | Feature Index | Story
Mystery footprints in the Kimberley; cat, creature or Yowie?
Thursday, 23 June 2005
Presenter: Vanessa Mills
Footprints fuel speculation on big cats, creatures and beasties near Broome.
A series of unusual footprints found along a coastal creek, south of Broome, have got people speculating about what kind of creature made them.
The tracks were found near the Aboriginal community of Bidyadanga.
Residents have been spooked by the discovery, with people afraid to go fishing at night.
Superstitions and imaginations are in overdrive on the possibility of dragons, dinosaurs and escaped panthers.
The prints are large three toed pads, a bit like a cartoon cat paw, and reputed to be the size of a human foot if not larger.
There are several sets of tracks that walk out of the bush, down to Nabiru Creek and along the edge.
A number of locals have seen them, including police, teachers, and nursing staff. The Conservation Department couldn't identify the footprints from the photographs nor could track expert Barbara Triggs.
Barbara says the three toe pads are highly unusual and the only animal that has three toes is a bird. She speculates there might be different animals criss crossing the tracks, an animal walking in the same prints.
She says it is very hard to get an idea of the size of the prints from the photographs which were taken without a scale marker; she says to put a camera lens cap or a matchbox beside tracks, and to also take photos of the trail as a whole.
So what could the "Bidyadanga Beast" be?

Could be Al good observation
It would be nice to know we still have Bunyips running around. The old saying where there is smoke there is fire is a good one, so there may be some truth to the stories. I believe a lot in Aboriginal legends I also believe that the Bunyip once was real whether or not Bunyips are still around in small pockets really who is to know. There could be dare I say a bit of paranormal stuff going on there as well I am a big believer in Dimensions it could be that something somehow was able to come into our dimension and leave its track only to slip away again, if anybody has ever read Hunt for the Skinwalker you will know what I mean.
Also both prints from different sides of the country seem to have been near water sources, food for thought I spose.

Thanks Mrx ! that is very interesting . I did read somewhere ( yes i can read lol ) Some northern outback remote station hand , while hunting , reported thunderous roars and tree smashing . Tracks similar to these where found but no one was game enough to pursue it . This happened in a number of places .
I tend to agree with Dion . Dinosuar slipping in and out of a time ripple ( I've heard of it before ) or maybe there are a few left hanging around . Australia is vast and no one could possibly know whats out there .

I am glad we are on the same page Rusty; I don’t see why something like a dinosaur can’t slip into our dimension that may have been lost for a while, Pterodactyl sightings are occurring all the time in the States. There has to something going on.
Here is a Youtube video showing possible photographs of a Thunderbird.

Here are some photos I’m not sure as to the legitimacy of them.
I apologise if I have gone off track in this thread. I may move it to the cryptozoology Forum.
Regards Dion

I have a copy of Hunt for the Skinwalker sitting beside me - and yes, after reading the report Dean posted.. it does sound awfully like something that would happen in places like Skinwalker Ranch.
..I wonder if anyone has been around the area with an EMF detector?
