2 UFO's seen over Maribyrnong River in 2005

Hey guys
In the summer of 2005, either end of Jan or start of Feb, I was in a car with 2 friends driving along the Western Ring Road and specifically over the Whitten Bridge (between the 2 M80 signs on the below map..
One of my friends was driving, I was in the front passenger seat on his left, and our other friend was behind me on the left side of the back seat. To our left was that big grassy area which is at the bottom of like a gorge or small canyon, and has the Maribyrnong river running through it. This area doesnt have any buildings or anything at all on it, just a few rough paths and its full of rabbits.
I looked to my left and saw 2 hovering lights between 50m and 100m over the grassy area and called out "What the hell are those?!" and my friend in the back seat said that he was looking at them too, trying to figure it out and was just about to call out too.
Just as we were looking at them one light just vanished (didnt burn out like a flare) and then as we passed the turnoff for Keilor Park Drive and approaching the Calder Freeway we still had our eyes on the remaining one and that disappeared suddenly too.
My friend who was driving didnt get a good look, since he was concentrating on driving 100km/h, was kinda sceptical, but my other friend and I couldnt explain it and still havnt been able to more than 5 years later.
