In December, 2010, the FBI released a document from 1950 seemingly adding support to the extraterrestrial hypothesis in relation to the Roswell crash http://vault.fbi.gov/hottel_guy/Guy%20H ... f%201/view. Unfortunately for the debunkers they cannot claim this document to be hoaxed. It seems to be just another addition to the large body of accumulative material supporting the conclusion that an extraterrestrial craft did indeed crash at Roswell. For any student of UFOlogy it is well known that the FBI had a strong involvement in the subject of UFOs as has been well documented by UFOlogist Bruce Maccabee in his book The UFO-FBI Connection. The agent involved in this case was in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office and the memo itself was sent directly to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Please just take a moment to reflect on the high level of authority and responsibility these individuals held at a very critical time in US history (Russia had just attained nuclear weapons; Korean War commenced that year not to mention Communist paranoia-persucution - McCarthyism - impacting all levels of Government and society). You have to ask yourself why would the hierarchy of the FBI be expending resources and gathering intelligence from the Air Force in relation to UFOs at such a critical period if there was no reality to the phenomenon or the event itself???
