Was listening to the radio on the way to work this morning and heard of the opening of a website .
Atlas of living Australia . http://www.ala.org.au/
Not sure how many of us get out and about in the scrub but this website encourages "naturalist groups, enthusiasts and education professionals " to contribute their photo's and observations of natural australian flora and fauna . The guy even mentioned some amature citizen collecting scat samples of koala's for analysis . He also encouraged this type of research and researcher's .
I see a lot of flowers , footprints and odd looking tree's and plants in my travels . Might be a good chance for us to help collect info of what were seeing while looking for those " UNKNOWN " species . Anyone in the bush at the moment will notice all the flowers that are out at the moment . It was spring 3 weeks ago , according to the bush .
Just a thought !
