Moreton Bay/Pumistone Activity?

Anybody know of much UFO activity around this area?
My little lady and I decided to head down around midnight to one of the local boat ramps on the 30 of September.
Just to see what we could see as it was a nice clear night.
We could see the flight paths of the airlines coming into Brissy airport and watched them do thier circuits to land.
Scanning the skies away from this area we noticed what looked like an orange star toward the northern tip of Moreton Island/ Southern end of Bribie. We could line it up above one of the channel markers that we could see, the orange light seemed to glisten not flash on and off or pulse. From where we were it was only a couple of inches (at arms length) above the channel marker.
What happened next left my partner in a sort of shocked state of disbelief till late the next day.
We watched as the light slowly rised to about 5 times the height from its original position then started to do figure 8's coming to a stop after each one and alternating in start direction.
It would then shoot off to one side very fast and return again to stop where it had started then do the same thing in the opposite direction. It did this quite a few times while we watched.
Then it slowly sank back to the position we had originally noticed it but further north of the channel marker and sat there for a few minutes before quickly shooting straight up very high then sinking down again.
Finally it just seemed to travel straightaway from us out to sea till it disappeared.
All this happened over a half hour period, on the walk home the little lady was very quiet (was excited while we watched) The next afternoon she told me she had felt very shocked and just couldnt work it through her mind of what she had actually seen till then and was still running all the usual cover stories through her head.
Needless to say she is now a strong believer after seeing her very first light in the sky.
I hadnt posted till now as I have been searching the net etc. to see if any other reports had been made.
Thanks for listening.
Chad.
