Why do people feel compelled to squeeze cute things???

As the topic reads, why do people feel compelled to squeeze cute things such as puppies and kittens or small cute kids chubby cheeks? (lol) Does anyone ever get the urge to squeeze or pinch cute things? Was just discussing it with a mate so had to ask....

Please share your views or experiences on squeezing cute things (lol) And keep it clean! lol
