What actually happened was that in 2005 this fruitcake had seen a cat(supposedly)..gone back..waved his video camera around and when he was looking at single frames of video later..he "discovered" they revealed a "jaguar and cubs".
But he was telling me he had 22 minutes of footage of a jaguar and cubs that was really clear and he wanted me to help him sell it..
He actually had footage of trees/rocks/shadows..nothing else..
He also told me as I was leaving that when he experienced something odd..he cuts his arm with a knife...if the cut is there the next day..it means the experience he had previously..was real..and there were fresh knife cuts on his right forearm...
Soooo..I left in a hurry..that day..
Fast forward to 21/11/2011
We received a letter postmarked Ararat on Monday..
Mr 2011 anonymous claimed to have the proof of the big cats..and gave his mobile number.
I rang him.
Mr 2011 arrogantly boasted that he had hours of footage of two big cats..with cubs..plaster prints..etc..and he might show us one day(why did he contact us?).
Then he said he found the remains of a camper..killed by the bigcats..which he filmed(he was worried that if he reported it..he could get into trouble)huh..and also worried if he didnt report..he could get into trouble..and that he had never spoke to me before....
Now this guys story sounded really similar to the kook in 2005 and i asked him if he had rung me before..he denied ringing anyone about his footage.
So..after I hung up..I looked for my diary..and found it today..same mobile phone number in 2005 as the guy I rang on Monday.
I briefly spoke with MrTopSecret this morning and asked him why he lied ....and "politely"cough cough..asked him to never contact us again.
