The site was near a bridge, where back in 1977 a little girls body was found (never identified). Bit of info from Gearman below describing the site, as well as a newspaper clip from the time:
The time of the EVP was 11:15 PM deep in the forested creek bottoms at a dead end dirt road several miles from the nearest rural home. Lots of wildlife is recorded throughout the night. Owls, coyotes, feral hogs and such are recorded as well. No place a little girl would be at night I assure you.

Even with the hearing aids in and head phones on, it did not sound unusual. Heard similar noises in the bush before. There is a sound but it could be trees rubbing. Sorry, just my opinion. Maybe if the background noise was attenuated it might be clearer.
Yeah I have to say I cant hear anything, just a prolonged static noise with a lot of chirping sounds, I tried my best to listen intently but cannot hear a thing.

new to this community........apart from my interest in Bigfoot and all it's names across the planet, I am - or shall we say have been actively investigating ghosts/apparitions and hauntings since the mid 1970s
in the last couple of years I have turned more and more to the topic of EVPs and other electronicly produced voices and the processing of them - most especially from old abandoned WW2 airflelds here in the UK
I am happy to say that I hear 3 distinct voices on the recording, 2 of what sound like a small girl and one of a man...but they are truly indistinct - even after my processing
I have dropped the background and heightened the voices as much as I can for you - but apart from saying that it seems someone is there, I cannot make out any more for you
cheers for now
Chris
