I hate to say this but it looks like one of Gilroy's drawings come to life. Shame there's not more information on it, the photos look impressive enough...

I don't know about this one either! God, how I would love to believe it was true, but somehow I don't think so! If it was genuine wouldn't you drag it into a science lab somewhere and say ,"here, discect this?"

Wouldn't be the first thing you did, secure it and take it under guard somewhere? Somewhere theres a blackhole full of missing cryptids, James Dean's car, my daughters $50 and thousands and thousands of odd socks!

Interesting pics.
How do we know if its real, could be a special FX creation. It would be great to know, one way or the other.
If its real, then in my opinion, its human. Not homo-sapien, but definately "homo-something or other".
Homo-primative, hairy and ugly, with a face only its mother could love. Whatever.
If its an Almasti, then one can imagine what Zana from the 1800's may have looked like. Tall, powerful, hairy, human like, yet primitive. DNA close enough to homo-sapien, that viable offspring resulted. The grand children of Zana were quarter cast and yet they looked pretty much just like any other human.
Do we have primitive species/subspecies of humans walking around in the wilder, inaccessable places?

Just a personal opinion, but I don't think the Almas are the same thing. From what I have read over the years, they appear to me to be human, though very primative. I would class them as more like a remnant or offshot of Neanderthal. I think Yowie/yeti/Bigfoot are diferent from them.

Primitive humans, upright walking myocene ape decendants (giganto?). There is not telling how many different species are out there in the wild places.

Our with Bayanov investigation having been held some months ago brougt us to conclusion that the body of Bourganeuf is the real body of a giant homin. Later we can write about it in details: I cannot write in English as fluently as Dmitri can, but he will come to the office only tomorrow about 2 p.m. Moscow time. We had that time the widespread correspondence with French and American hominologists discussing some detailes of its anatomy which could not faked, also consulting with Janice Carter from Tennessee who observed such creatures for almost 30 years, and she found about 10 indications of the real body.
As to me personnaly I paid attention to the V-like shape of the collar-bones of the BM. If it is a hoax, how that person who made it did know that Homin should have such a shape of the collar-bons? Human's collar bones are horizontal and almost in a straight line, but the body's - in V-shape, just look at the picture.
I put the detailed information about that investigation into our Russian-English web-site http://www.hominology.narod.ru, but - sorry - in Russian only. As it is interesting, we shall set it also in English.

Now i've seen the face of a yeti.. some of the magic has gone.. it's hard to explain but.. do yowies faces look much the same? Cause that iceman just looks like a really ugly hobo. Kind of like this old man that lives down the road from me.

In 1997, which could seem a republication of the affai Re of the frozen man (this corpse of a hairy man exposed on the fairgrounds to the USA, that Bernard Heuvelmans could study with leisure in 1968) was held... in France! And even in the heart of our country, since it is at the time of the fair of Bourganeuf, in the Hollow one, that this history was revealed: once again, it was apparently the corpse of a kind of hairy man preserved in a freezer, and exhib? on the fairgrounds.
It was indeed about a hoax, and amusing thing, our Belgian friends of the ABEPAR (which publishes the Cryptozoologia newspaper ) are, very involuntarily, the inspirers. Emmanuel Janssens Casteels, sculptor animalier and collaborator of the Belgian review, tell in the issue of June to August 1998 of Cryptozoologia that two of his/her colleagues had advised people wishing to make a giant counterpart of the frozen man of Bernard Heuvelmans :
"In fact, it was about a flexible foam sculpture on which hairs of tail of horse were stuck. The eyes were quite simply bought to a supplier specialized in taxidermy."
Obviously, a rocambolesque history accompanied the exhibition by Bourganeuf, whose creator had obviously read the work of Bernard Heuvelmans .
