Hi All Just noticed Aldi is selling trail cams for 129 dollars.Was a bit suss at first but brought one,
Believe it or not great little unit for the money, ir flash,viewing screen,played with it today.
That impressed will be returning 2moro for another 3.Note I do own a moultrie CDC 5.0 and these things put it to shame...
Wish I had seen them before faulking over 300 odd dollars for 1...
Anyway thought I would just share this with yous Happing Hunting...

I wondered if they would - that's where I got my night vision monocular last year. I'm waiting for their USB microscopes to come back around...

The only issue with some, is the IR packs glow red when triggered.

I was unaware of this until our last trip to Jimna a couple of Months ago. The Prowlers, although quite neat units, were very disappointing from that perspective.

The new Camera which we bought, that emails the pictures back, cost an extra $50 to have totally passive IR fitted. That dropped the night vision down by 50% to only 12m, however it is far preferable than having something so visually obvious when triggered in the dark.

This unit emits no light at all,Also it has 3 zone motion sensor so that the unit detects animals from the
side so as they approach the unit arms up and then when they hit the centre of view the unit responds straight away.Good for fast moving objects as have found with the Moultrie cdc 5.0 we often got no pics or the back end of game...
If I had the money I would be buying the units you have just got ...But for someone wanting to get out their on a budget they are all right.

Dean is on the right track the Ltl Acorns are great little units very small and compact, I dont recommend sourcing them off eBay though as I have said in the past, as the unit I bought from there plays up and is impossible to configure the email SMS settings, looks like I got dodgy one most probably from china.

My own fault I suppose always looking for a bargain or the lowest price possible.

If I was going to buy another I would buy from a reputable source most probably from either of these sites, at least you can get some help/tech support if needed.

Remote Camera Test within our Apartment before deploying tomorrow.

Difficult to set up, but it works. Pictures were sent to three email addresses as we moved around the House.

Far too many pictures taken and sent. Seems to be highly sensitive. Set on 12MP, however still appears rather grainy.

50 cents to each Email - 3 Emails = $1.50 per trigger.

Instructions are rather nebulous.

Will see how we fair on the first run.
