Just would like to know what are the best digital sound recording equipment out there and the prices.

also what are the best trap cameras there are and the prices.

As i want to get some during the year and use them in blue mountains.

Hey Dan , I can vouch for the stereo sony notetakers . They take 2 aaa batteries . They also have a expansion port which I use a 16gb micro sd card .

While using lithium ion batteries and the 16 gb sd card its possible to record 100 hours of cd quality audio , thats 5 days straight . It records at 44,100 hz and 16bit .

The next level up $$$$$$$$$ is 24 bit 96,000 hz . An extreme amount of information and from the specs , not possible to get much more than a day out of them , havent tried yet though .

The sony notetakers are about $130 each , the sd card is about $40 each and each week will cost you $10 dollars to run them using lithium ion batteries . $520 a year

I wouldnt buy another trail camera again but I'd recommend the plotwatchers they dont miss a thing . There are 2 versions . The elcheapo version which is extremely aggressive on batteries . Then there's the more expensive model ( with extra options ) which is extraordinarily thrifty with battery consumption and will basically last for 3 or four months without having to replace the batteries . The plotwatcher pro also needs an sd card $40 . The plotwatcher pro is about $330 dollars delivered from the U.S.A. , Cabella's ...............................

will certainly get a sony sound recorder this week as im doing an over nighter in the blue mountains this week.

around mount solitary down to kedumba.I hope i find something there.

From start to camp site is a 12km hike.Then once i set up camp will be setting up the sound recorder in a spot i

think would be best then go out and look for our hairy mate during the night.

that's a really good walk, i did it last year in September.

yeah daniel i have already done the walk from golden staircase to china mans cave but didnt stay over night.

looking forward to it.
