HI Taptap23,
Spent some time in the BM (Glenbrook) years' ago and have heard of people talking about this "humming" noise, small silvery discs and of course, the yowie. Have not heard of the show, called "jeopardy", would love to see it. I cam very close to interviewing this lady about a UFO encounter and I could tell she was all shaken up by the experience. Sadly, the interview never happened and never saw her again, which was strange as whe was "keen a mustard to get something off her chest".
The funny part about living in the BM was the nonchalant attitude some people would have in talking about yowies (I was a uni student back then, saying to myslef, are these people for real).
Have you tried recording those humming noises.
Cheers

I live in the blue mountains and have met three people who have seen ufo's
All of them were people from woodford.
1st story was a guy lived near the railway station on the south side who claims he saw three balls of light flying low from the railway area down the valley heading south over the old gypsy pool then disappear out of sight down the valley.
2nd story was from a guy who was drinking with friends out at Linda rock. This rock is on the southern side again, on the track to murphy's glen. Apparently the group heard a humming noise and then they saw a light come into view. They watched the light moving through the air in a deep valley until it moved out of sight around the ridge.
3rd story was from a guy who also saw a light on the south side heading in the air in a deep valley over the next ridge from the first two sightings.
The three people did not know each other but the stories are very similar.
I myself had seen a bright light south of woodford. I was heading home when I noticed it. I thought it was a helicopter flying low. I could see it through the trees behind the houses. I tried to get a better look at it so I followed the road to the end to see if I could get a better look but it was no where to be seen. So I has no confirmation of what it was.
The guy who told me about the Linda rock sighting said that he was told by some one he talked to about his experience that there was suppose to be an alien landing sight south of woodford. Apparently they used to go there all the time. Aliens that is.
If they do I don't see them. But I don't sit and watch for them either.

Hey,
Sounds interesting,
I have seen things similar to this at various places throughout the Blue Mountains. I often here as what sounds like a helicopter flying low but is no where to be seen.

Hi taptap23
A few years back the military was buzzing around in what we thought was black hawk helicopters. They had no lights and were really low. Rumour was it was training operations.
Was really quite cool, they were only visible as silhouettes against the night sky.
Not sure if that's what you heard.
If I get a chance to run into the guy who saw the light near Linda rock I will ask him again to tell me the story and I'll find out a about the noise.
Now that it's warmer I might spend a bit more time out side and hopefully see something.
Love the UFO stuff.
Was the noise you heard exactly like a helicopter or similar

Yeah i'm trying to get outside more too, and hopefully see/hear something aswell.
The noise was probably more similar to a helicopter not exactly the same, was late at night about 12-1am.

Hi tap tap 23
I'm going to make an effort and get out more in the new year.
Might do some yowie investigating. Any excuse to get out in the bush camping.
