Something i saw in a Contrail

Today as i was working in my backyard i was also keeping a eye out for planes going over head,i use flightradar24. I was looking forward to seeing the Melbourne to Los Angeles Qantas A380. I checked the radar and it was flying at 34000 feet and was just going over the ACT. I live in the Illawarra so with the contrails i can see the planes sometimes as they are flying over Goulburn. I watched the A380 fly over head,it was to the north of the Illawarra but still a really great sight with a full vapor trail. As i was watching the plane i saw what i can only say was a bight light come out of the contrail and it seemed to go straight past the plane at a great rate of speed. The plane was at 34000 feet and was going at 900km and the plane was at a great distance from where i was. What did i see???i have no idea at all,it was one of those WTF did i just see.
