Heat

Sorry Guys, I'm sure this question has probably already been asked before but i was curious. I notice that there are very few reports if any based in the N.T or W.A which makes me think that maybe these creatures are affected by heat i'd like to hear if anyone else has a theory on this. I only ask because most of the reports i've read predominantly come from south qld or nsw where the weather is (usually cool) and not let's say from somewhere like Rockhampton where as i currently look at my thermometer it reads 47000c
(not really but it feels like it).
Cheers
