Hi, came across this video last night on youtube. I wonder what other people's thoughts are on it? Genuine or fake?

My feeling is after watching the video is if it's a fake then in some ways its a good one. I wonder how thick the scrub is and could a human run through and jump like that in a costume of some sort? The growling sounds very guttural also look at the arms and sholders when it moves away, seems very long and muscular. It kind of looks ape like too.

I think it is a fake purely because there is absolutely no reaction from the Yowie when she screams. Didn't even turn and look her way. Also if that was a real Yowie that sort of behaviour would be considered a bluff charge and I would have ran straight at her. I think the flailing arms make it look more human as that is how we depict apes running around with arms waving everywhere.

If someone was panning around randomly....what are the chances of the camera stopping exactly at the right place for the incident to happen in the centre of the screen??? Not very good right? Fake.
Also that Yowie deliberately revealed itself...that's pretty unusual right...

That's fake as far as I'm concerned - why would the creature be jumping around like someone at a rave party, and why wouldn't it react to her scream (as Simonius said)?

Also, her one (very theatrical) scream, and the fact that she's essentially setting up the whole thing with her hugely unspontaneus preamble in the voice over all make me think this is fake, and that the lady operating the camera is in on it. It'd be a different kettle of fish if someone in a suit pranked an unsuspecting person - then you might get a more genuine reaction - but her tone of voice even makes it seem as if she's waiting for something to happen, just filling in time as she discusses the flora, etc.

Just my opinion, of course.

I can post the original video this video is just an examination of it. My gut feeling was a fake too but I have seen worse than this one. Although it would be interesting to see how thick the scrub is and how easy it would be to run and jump through it in a costume. Does it tear or do you trip up etc.....

Yeah Thumper i agree mate . Encounters are rare compared to the vast amount of people spending time in and living near the bush, driving on highways at night etc .

I dont know why our/my encounter was so intense or exactly what we did to piss him off. I do find it hard to believe we just stumbled upon them by chance though and we wouldve kept walking if it wasnt for the stench. Most likely because we saw the juvenile or we were percieved as aggressive from our idiotic behaviour preceding the encounter and on the previous nights??

There are a few full on encounters out there like the recent ayr audio with the girl being stalked in WA for example. The kids that tied a chicken to a tree and had several interactions is an interesting/weird one.

One thing i have found on a few bigfoot blogs is the term "pacing" . An aggressive, close up and very vocal escort out of the area basically.Thats pretty much describes what happened in my encounter. Maybe more common over there as theres more reports and encounters ??

There's pacing and then there is the run-bys too. They'll stomp right past or behind you in the dark when they know you can't quite see them in the dark. They have many ways to get people to leave it seems...and it escalates in intensity it seems. There is a story of a teenage and juvenile being surprised by a guy dropping them some food when he stepped too far in the bush line. He got a slap on the back as got to the roadside...

Yeah stuff that Thumper! A good slap on the back would make me think twice about every crossing the treeline again! It seems human contact is even rarer but the few accounts we have are terrifying!!

Those kids on the motorcycles that got their tent and gear trashed in another recent audio couldve copped it worse if theyd hung around. Seems these yowies are all different like people. We need to obey their warnings if we can detect them that is!

Hi Kezza. When we see something moving unnaturally fluent and fast through trechourous scrub then maybe we will be onto something. That pilliga jumping yowie looks like he covers his face as well. It seems hopping mad to me..

Not in the Pilliga itself but just South of Coonabarabran is where I had my first Sighting.

Thats where I would do my research if I still had the drive for it, however a prick of a place to get to if you live on the coast.

My family spent a night way out in the middle of the Newell highway north of Coonabarabran in a big old bus. That country is huge, just goes on for miles and miles, and the Warrumbungles has plenty of great hideyholes too.

I agree, twould be a great area to spend 12 months researching.
