Yeti on Dashcam.

Reckon all members here should have a dashcam in their car... particularly when driving in the forest at night!

If you haven't got one, maybe it's time to drop a hint or two before Christmas. :D

This latest footage from Russia shows what appears to be a bipedal animal crossing the road in front of a car.

This upload seems a bit clearer, particularly on full screen.

The road crossing happens at around 46 seconds.

I think they spent more money on the dashcam than they did on the car!

I caught a yeti on my dashcam driving to the shops late at night just last month, but deleted the file because I knew no-one would believe me.

Woudlve been good if they kept the camera rolling and took it outside to film the tracks in the snow.

I totally understand why they didn't though haha

Good point, huxley. With all that snow on the ground, you would think there would have to be tracks.

Keeping the headlights on and grabbing the smartphones should have been the go for those brave Ruskis.

Well, it's definitely on two legs...but it appears so quickly and at such a distance I couldn't say for sure it wasn't human. Whatever it was it was running quickly, but it could've been a person. There's nothing in the video which indicates it wasn't someone in a suit.

My screens pretty small, so I can't make out any real detail on the subject.

They reversed back and ended the video with the headlights illuminating they tracks it left.

If they took the camera off the dash and filmed the tracks with a size comparison in one continuous shot, I'm thinking it would be pretty cut and dry whether its a yeti or a human. Ie bootprints ect

Maybe if thinkerthunker did a video examination on the footage he could determine the size of the subject using the width of the vehicle to measure the track and the track to measure the subject.

If you read this forum, thinker, might be a good one ?

Thinkerthunker has made some pretty daft assumptions before though.

Regardless of what anyone may think of Thinker Thunker, he does get some great close ups and gives us a different look at the videos he breaks down. Its up to the individual to judge what they are seeing. (detective)

The imax bigfoot cameraman interview on thinker thunker is the latest and worth a look.

Here you go.

Has this dashcam captured ‘Yeti’ in snowy Russian forest?

And the M.K. Davis analysis.

M.K.Davis discusses the Russian Yeti Crossing the Road Dashcam Video

I dunno but I smell something with this one.

Yes it seems to stumble in the first part of the road crossing and it flicks out snow in an arc with its legs in the second half (from M.K. Davis analysis), but I've not yet seen a video where these creatures seem to have any great difficulty in harsh terrain, in fact they make it look ridiculously easy. I have seen humans both stumble and swing out their legs (in an arc) in difficult terrain like wading through water, snow or muck, in order to clear the feet to take a longer stride when they can't raise the knees high enough.

My money is at the moment riding on "guy in a suit".

Nice find Trevor. Always liked the way M.K Davis analyses alleged encounters.

Due to the lack of clear vision, (don’t you just hate blown up pixels!) I think this case definitely belongs in the ‘too hard’ basket. IMHO, it is too difficult to make a call either way. Knowing personally the character of the men who made the report would be extremely helpful… :)

We now have a greater than ever chance of capturing a decent daylight roadside sighting on a full HD dashcam. More and more are installed every day around the world.

So better watch out all you Yetis, Bigfoots and Yowies … Dashcams are out to get you!

Not to derail this, but Thinkerthunker also made an outrageous claim on one of his videos (Yellowstone?) were he claimed humans could not walk as fast over snow as the objects did in that video..

He'd never heard of snowshoes apparently either!

There's snow business like snow business.....

I will try not to derail this thread either, however just like the maker of the Yeti Dash Cams Video and Thinkerthunker they are only after Likes and a Hit-count, like anyone on YouTube.

As ever, I am mystified by the psychology of anyone deliberately creating a hoax video. If someone manages to video something they honestly think is a cryptid...well, these things happen, and they're also a victim of the hoax.

And yeah...ThinkerThunker comes to some weird conclusions in my opinion as well. I like the way he analyses aspects of each video in close up, but often disagree with his conclusions.

If that one about the hunter was faked it's one of the best fakes I have seen... wow!

I tend to agree - if this is a fake it's an excellent one. Extremely brief, but still compelling.
