As the start of 2017, right now I am super curious on where will the first 2017 sighting take place.
If we are going to have some "yowie tipping", I 'd put:
Victoria -> Noojee
Why?
1. almost continuous sightings thru years;
2. from another 4WD forum, some guy said he saw a lam carcass hanging 15ft high on the tree with limbs gone. Something was eating it up there.
3. the closest spot to where i live.

I reported one in the bridabellas in NSW, but did not see it and haven't been able to find the Tharwa report would be interested to read as it's not very far at all from where I was. Has it been posted somewhere?
We dont have the Tharwa Report up just yet. Plenty still to be processed.
The very latest comes from Qld - Buccan.

Within ten years, this yowie/bigfoot mystery will be solved....here in Australia, Not US, not China.
Because,
In US, they don't need to prove, the evidence are abundant. Their problem is their government keeps hiding this issue all the way down for no logical reason. They took dead bodies from time to time and said "no, we didn't see a thing". Or they threaten fire fighters "if you tell this story to public i m gonna cut your pension"
While in China, there are too populated for many decades I doubt they still exist somewhere. A mainstream scientist and yeren theory supporter said he estimate there are 500 in whole China. They number is still too low. And it is the yeren not human who would tell their kids "if you get caught, you will be eaten!"

With respect you sound a touch young Micathia? We have still to see crystal clear photo's or video in Australia, even with the advent of the digital age.

They will never be where you expect them to be!

Even with the best video imaginable, more evidence would be needed to convince the public, not to mention the scientific rank and file.
There's already a stack of physical and anecdotal evidence which is roundly ignored by mainstream science. It's more the unwillingness of people to accept that something which makes them uncomfortable might exist that prevents the Yowie's presence from being accepted, I think.
Just my opinion, of course. As I've said before, if I ever got one on video I'd send it to the people who run this site and wouldn't want my name mentioned in the media at all, ever. I admire anyone who records an audio report - I know I wouldn't be inclined to do one of those if I'd seen one of these things.
