New footage taken on 14th February at around 5pm when the setting sun penetrates deeper into the area. This is pretty close to where I filmed the first incident.
https://youtu.be/T-wS9qQ_i60
Ill get some screen captures done and post them here as usual, for those that don't like or frequent youtube.
I finally have a good tripod to use, (arrived today 18.2.2017) and hopefully I will obtain much steadier video of whatever is bumping around here.
The bad news is that despite resisting the urge to investigate the scene up close, consequently leaving my scent mark and risking it/them from leaving due to it, I've taken the approach of random daytime walks around the vegetation screen within a wide radius of where I think they might be hiding out.
I then film from my veranda at 168 meters away ,with the use of the late afternoon sun, which lights up the interior of the area and is in partial shadow near my place, giving good contrast to an area that I cant zoom too clearly in on, at any other time of day.
Unfortunately between two and four in the morning I have seen spotlights being used INSIDE that area......by? And although I will never know the names of these idiots let me just say that I've acquired a....how shall I say it.......rather big electric shaver.....that Ill be happy to test on anyone stupid enough or just mean enough to tramp all over the site randomly at sneaky hours when they should be at home with whatever family would put up with them.
Then came the recent storms, that may have removed a lot of potential evidence inside that area.
If nothing happens there (the observation area) after a week or so, I'm going to go all the way into the area and look it over with a fine tooth comb for as long as it takes.
I am always happy to show anyone the site, just as long as it is from a distance that allows good viewing but is far away enough that scent markings are not within "their area". I can't stop people from doing anything they like in there, but I would ask in the nicest possible way that common sense is at least considered?
I don't care if I'm wrong about all of this.....but what if I'm right?
If I cant prove this or at least film a nice close and steady piece of footage showing that yowies or a yowie are active near my home, what chance will ever be better?
It would be a shame to blow a potential find by acting like a nob with a torch late at night in a semi residential area?
Time will tell I suppose.

That's something alive, moving about in the foliage. I've never seen one of these things in real life so I'm not one to judge what it might be, but there's no doubt that there's something alive and moving. It'd be interesting to see a stabilized version so more detail might be visible.

good luck paul.
brave move going full time. i am in my mid 30s and a self made seven digit bank account man but no way id give up work to do this full time. ok with 8 digits in the bank then maybe. so kudos to you!
ever thought about sending a drone in with a camera? even cheap arse ones can fly hundreds of meters via remote and send all the footage to your mobile.

I know the issue of drone noise has been mentioned on this forum before, and until there's one that's literally whisper quiet it'll be difficult to use them to find these creatures - they're alert to anything, it seems, which indicates the presence or involvement of human beings.

You reckon it is the same one you saw before? a "teenager female yowie"?

Ill never know mate, I found the site wrecked this morning. Vehicle tracks criss cross the site, dense vegetation area's are flattened
As I've said elsewhere on this forum tonight...I couldn't bring myself to film it as I walked through the mess.
Has to be connected with recent spot lighters going in there after the QT article came out.
Ill get some vision up tomorrow when I walk back through it all.
Cheers

So there only human going in ruining your site--go in after them, get in your car(you look big enough to me) tell them to f off and mean it, tell them the area is monitored and u have there number plates--they wont be back.
Sad, idiots they are. Make some calls--theres plenty of k9 units in ipswich that wouldnt mind giving a hand (people dont like going up against dogs thats for sure.
I know anyones allowed in there but with a big enough scare they wont be back.
