keen people for hiking/searching for evidence. central coast

Unread post by snittydeedee »

Hi, my names mark.

I'm not new to the yh forum but only recently signed up.

I'm hoping to find keen individuals who would be interested in hiking and researching I'm my surrounding area.
I live in watanobbi(wyong) on the central coast of NSW.

Cut a long story short. Whilst hiking in the cooler months before summer I stumbled across some strange game trails that travel along a creek (porters creek) which eventually filters into swap land with what appears to be a big billabong (Google earth).

There are also tree brakes in the area.

So if tour keen please get in contact

Hi Mark

My name is Mick and I also live on the Central Coast. Your post jogged my memory re my son mentioned to me earlier in the week of a reported yowie sighting at North Wyong. I do not know any more than that but will ask my son if he has any more info. I have just done some googling and could not find anything about it.

Cheers

Hi Mark
I used to live down that way at Gorokan when on the other side of the highway it used to be thick scrub with trails all around it. We used to swim at a place called blue waters which is about 2ks into bush west of Charmhaven. We used to see tree breaks everywhere in there and always had the feeling of being watched but just put it down to our imagination.
Have a look on the other side of sparks rd west of warnervale you may find some evidence out there.
good luck.

Hi mick. Would love to hear more about the sighting at north Wyong. Sounds interesting. I know of a lady who lives opposite the swampie area of wattanobbi and has seen figures down there. But I am yet to speak to her...

Thanks Ronstar1. I work at charmhaven. I think I know the area you are speaking of. I havent ventured much around that area. Only down a few 4wd tracks and old firetrails. I know what you mean by the bush in that area. Full of low lying scrub and dense bush.

Im hoping to get a group together before I get in too deep.
