Bellthorpe national park

Hi all my name is Jacinta and i am new to the site. I am definitely a believer in yowies/bigfoot. I felt i just had to post this, it's sticking with me. I hike and 4x4 mostly on the sunshine coast sometimes down on the gold coast and nsw. Recently i have been loving bellthorpe national park, on the sunshine coast, queensland. I was out there in the national park on Saturday late afternoon 4x4 driving on a old fire trail with friends. We were really in the thick of it out there. As we were just trucking it along, enjoying nature, weaving through the range. We started to see what and correct me if i am wrong like markings? Sticks/branches/trees broken, in criss cross shapes and stuck in the ground along the side of the trail? As we got deeper into pockets of rainforest we stopped at a creek we came upon got out and basked in the beauty of the surrounds. We saw a giant length ways for lack of a better word burrow dug into the side of the mountain, thought it was weird shaped and the dirt looked a bit fresh as in the dirt was still scattered and fresh looking from something digging this shape out. Couple moments later we heard twigs breaking, crunching like you hear when you are walking through scrub, it came from up hill and then out of no where we hear a knock, clear as day, it scared us because we racked our brains thinking what could make a big sound like that out here and because it just sounded prominent like deliberate and the next thing we bounded for the truck and are hauling out of there. From the moment we hit thick dense bush, overgrown trail then started seeing those natural or placed markings or whatever and that weird burrow, the atmosphere just started getting eerie. I don't know what to think. I have never seen a burrow or whatever like that before or heard such a noise like that whilst hiking or 4x4 before. As we were coming out of there we were adding 2 and 2 together but we don't know. If it were people we think we would have seen there car along the trail at some point. I would like to note that it was dead quiet when we hit that creek then when we moved out of the vicinity we heard birds ect the sounds of the bush. It has just stuck with us and definitely creeped us out a little. If you want me to elaborate i will be happy to! I just feel like i had to share this. Has anyone here been at bellthorpe national park and had odd occurrences? Cheers guys
