Yes, bit of wishful thinking and pareidolia happening here. I agree that the shadow/rock/bush/whatever shows a vaguely hominid form, but it does not appear to move. With all respect to Paul, video is too long (needs some rigorous editing), too shaky, too "panny" and too "zoomy". Also needs some post-filming voice-over to explain what he thinks is going on. And what's with all the multi-tilted screen shots that indicate little more if anything?

I see a rock and perhaps reflection bouncing off the water on to the camera lens that gives a look of an image of some sort.

I think he uses the tilted frames in an attempt to 'change perspective' on the subject... which can be a trap because it creates the illusion of changing perspective when it cannot possibly because the image is still a flat, 2D image no matter what you do.

Just for the sake of documenting an image comparison between the Lake Maroon "paradolic rock form" and a female great ape....interesting if nothing else.

I'm working on the footage to stabilize the relevant frames and hopefully find a way to upload the SONY HZDR 520E MTS format footage, which is much, much cleraer.

Images contrast adjusted, color increased and on a couple I've done some layering of the variants in an attempt at bringing out detail.

I am glad you put that comparison pic there to help identify the shapes - and I can see what your talking about.
Keeping that in mind....its a line ball.
Did you actually see anything moving whilst filming - before or after?

Its an interesting image regardless.

It looks like a figure of some kind to me...but it's hard to discern exactly. I do think Paul is heading in the right direction with his research; literally and figuratively.

That certainly would be the most important piece of supporting evidence - no movement at all, then most likely just a rock or tree or shadow?

Yes Greg - I agree.
But the issue with this footage ( and with the utmost respect to Paul ) is that the camera footage was so shaky that you would not be able to tell just by looking at the playback. I mean I could not see a thing - it was very unstable. But I guess if you do go back over the footage thats when things become clearer maybe?

If I did not have that image as a reference point I might of missed it.

Paul - very interesting discussion - thanks for sharing.

I always try to reference stories (and footage Iv'e seen) of Sasquatch and other variant relic hominids remaining very still for extended periods when they perceive detection at un-opportune moments. We drove up to the lake and exited the cars pretty rapidly and there was a skier on the lake at some distance, so perhaps with the boats incessant hum, if it was a yowie, we may have caught it unawares. I seem to notice that (if it was not just paradolia) the bending action towards the rock formation may have been to gather a young one and still its movement.

All will be revealed when I go back to the site as time allows.
