Well what happens after they land on the steps of the Opera House. In front of millions of people, witnessed around the world!!
Now what?

What do you think would happen next?

The biggest military exercise, police presence and media fear mongering frenzy anyone could expect, to say nothing of govt coverup complete with psychiatrists and medicos to whisk those who got a good look, away. No joke. Oh and confiscation of every mobile phone within a ten km radius.

Don’t think we will ever see that happen! A public landing in front of the White House or Opera House is IMHO highly unlikely.
I have been to a Stanton Friedman lecture here in Melbourne and I recall him answering the question about “ If flying saucers are real, why haven’t they contacted us?”
His answer was along the lines of “ We are a primitive society whose major activity is tribal warfare”. So why then would a highly intelligent and technically superior civilization want to share information with earthlings on this war torn planet? It would surely be of no benefit to them as they can already gain all the information they need by simply observing us. Any advanced technology gleaned would probably be turned on them…

Yes you are right. Why would they want to interact with warring tribes.
What would be interesting is what the reaction from society 'if' it did happen. Everything we know would be turned upside down....life as we know it would change forever.
