But I am real keen to explore the Ormeau hills and Mount Cotton areas if anyone's interested ?

Mt Cotton down to redland bay area and the river has potential.
Plenty of fresh water pools with freshwater clams, lilly bulbs and fern bulbs (for the carbs) in abundance... not to mention a high concentration of wallabies and 'blockies' with horse feed to steal.
I am often travelling those roads late at night (particularly redland bay rd) and always keep my eyes out for that sought after road-side crossing.

Hi all, I'm in the process of relocating from Ormeau on the northern Gold Coast to Tannum Sands in central Queensland.
Kroombit tops and the Boyne Valley I would imagine to be prime potential yowie habitat, anyone ever heard of anything from around there?

Hi Bluedog, I'm originally from Rockhampton, Central Queensland. Now just moved from the Sunshine Coast to Redcliffe. I know there were hairies around Rocky, not sure regarding Tannum Sands. However, there are Mosquitos there large enough to take you away, so I have heard. Beautiful area though, would be interested to hear if you get any yowie action out that way.
