Excuse me for going off at a tangent, but Bell Birds, even though they are native, are considered to have become an environmental pest. See http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/conten ... 200578.htm and Google similar links.Tuckeroo wrote:Hi Yowiedan, Thanks for the vid of your site, you were lucky to get that recording of the howl.
Loved the opening shot in the creek looking up the valley and those Bell birds are always a peaceful welcoming sound.
The print in the mud looked interesting. Large surface areas of mud and sandbars along the creek seems to be a feature
of that area; worth checking out, although your plates of meat would be frozen off wadding up and down.

I've kayaked up Marramarra Creek from Moonee Moonee to the campsite and remember having to negotiate that damn mud at low tide! Didn't know it was a possible hotspot!yowiedan wrote:Here's a video of our night Yowie Researching. We managed to record some Amazing Vocalisations, Here is the link.https://youtu.be/N_wFpAKmJMo
Just to be the Devil's Advocate, may I possibly and politely suggest wild dogs howling in the distance?yowiedan wrote:Yeah mate we were very excited to hear it.

Hey Adventurer i dont spend much of the time at all infront of the camera, Its because no one wants to see me they want to see Yowie Related stuff like. So thats what i try to give everyone. Yes you should get your group and go out to area's and spend a night. We have refined what processes we do to get the best results. Finally its paying off.adventurer wrote:I too loved the video, we should start doing something like that, but none of us enjoy standing infont of the camera or getting caught on it, well maybe we shall try.
Looks like a great area, was there any tracks through the grass areas at all, and did you yell something back to it at all?
I dont think i could have slept at all. Good job.

Playing DEvil's Advocate here: The duration of each howl is too short to match the lung capacity of the big, hairy blokes, but are the perfect length for dogs/dingos... possibly the same animal that dropped that scat?yowiedan wrote:Here's a video of our night Yowie Researching.
