Hi guys. As i posted a few times.. but very rarely I live in Germany. But next week I'm coming home for a few weeks. I will be in Newcastle and sydney. If i wanna go for a bush walk where xould i go where i might see something?
Would be great to hear from anyone whos seen something in or between newie and sydney.

Well anyway. Ive decided to go to the wattagans tomorrow. Only during the day as its only about 45mins from where i am staying.
I will take my phone camera with me but during the day i doubt much will pop up.

Take a look around near the Pine Campground. We had some action near there when we researched that area. If you go down near the water thatss where it happened.theloneranger wrote:Well anyway. Actually both of us were growled at by something that sounded like a Tassie Devil, then my mate chased it and it doubled back around us and i saw it for a few strides. It disappeared into the bush going towards the water and all we could do was listen to it walk away from us as the folage was too thick to followed it.yowiedan wrote:Take a look around near the Pine Campground. We took a walk along a track not far from this camp ground. It was incredible how dense the bush is and when we were down at the creek it was practically dark the canopy is so thick.
All we saw was some what probably was wombat poo. A few branches had definitely been placed standing up in small deliberately dug holes and when we were almost up out of the trails some weird noise that we couldn't tell what it was as by then the wind picked up. It could have been a goat or something.
It was eerily quiet. We didnt see a single roo or anything else and barely any birds at all. Only the odd wren.
I can see how you can easily get lost there without a GPS. That bush is incredibly thick. In some places you could barely see 10m in some directions.
