Hey guys,
Check it out - SBS Viceland - Shadow Trackers
Season 1 Episode 1 — Il-Bogan
(Note: It's on-demand, you have to sign up with SBS to view their videos)
The guys are at Beaudesert Racecourse (QLD) and are searching for a bunyip but might be having some yowie activity - they see eye shine, hear foot steps and spot one ducking behind a fence.
Take it easy,
Tom.

I enjoyed this show, and the enthusiasm of Hunter and Zac is fun to watch, but their investigative skills leave a lot to be desired. They're essentially running around in the dark without any kind of discernible plan, freaking out about any sound they hear and achieving very little...except for making an entertaining TV show - which may be their sole aim for all I know. They certainly give viewers an insight into indigenous culture, and the lived experience of their relatives and various contacts who claim to have encountered unexplained creatures.
I'll watch any future episodes, but I doubt these guys will be able to capture any video of anything unusual - they'll be too busy tripping over themselves and 'signalling' each other with their torches. It's more like a 'boy's own adventure' involving spotlighting than a serious investigation.
One interesting part was Uncle Bevan's description of the Bunyip's hair as it floated on the surface of the water, and another was Hunter's impression that he was "being circled" when they were near the lagoon. Zac's assertion that he 'saw a hand' near the racecourse fence seemed to be born of nerves rather than something he literally saw, and the video was unconvincing.
I was interested in the local newspaper's description of the "Beaudesert Lion", and I think the guys were onto something when they discussed the idea that the 'lion' and the bunyip were the same creature being described by different eyewitnesses with different preconceptions about what they were seeing.
I only found one episode - the first - on SBS's on demand service, but there are more according to the NITV site.
