Thanks Simon. One of the reasons I log onto AYR most days is to check for any news that is interesting, entertaining or controversial. You have certainly provided that with this story!

Everyone i have been talking to about this video has the same view. It's a monkey with a suit on and has some fake lips attached to it. It has the same walking, running style that a small monkey has. So we all know its fake but still funny to watch. Poor Monkey.

I suspect a monkey of some kind, in a rather synthetic-looking fur wrap. Hands are free of any real hair on the backs, then up past the wrist, it seems to be wrapped in some fake nylon hair stuff, like a wig, almost. It seems to make a chittering/chirruping sound at the part where it's revealed it's on a cord leash of some kind, so my vote is for monkey, possibly a baby macaque...

i think it's also pretty telling that the feet are covered in booties of some kind too, as the split form of a monkey foot would probably be a dead giveaway. Despite not knowing what is being said, this could simply be a home video of a pet, and someone with an over-active imagination has assumed it's something more than that, hence the excitement.

Yes, I agree a monkey in a suit with a fake hand (didn't catch any movement of the fingers, only the hand being moved by someone). Hair looks pretty fake as well. I gotta say it looks pretty creepy with those eyes and lips.

Yes, I'd assumed it was a monkey as well - and I felt sorry for it.

I just hadn't seen a mention of it here yet and wanted to bring it up. Shaz, the comparisons of those primate hands is excellent.

I watched a show on snub nose monkeys, could be one, similar mouth and eyes.
