Set some cameras on a creek in Namadgi last tuesday.. scouted the creek bank then for prints and found nothing unusual.. returned this morning to collect the gear and found what I think is a large barefoot print in a part I definitely checked before. Been snowing up there recently.. unfortunately the print is out of camera range.. best photos I could get..

Nice one Dave , definitely a print . How big ? size 11 ?
Was this out of the way like remote , off road ?
Don't tell Trevor you didn't use a tape measure ! (taz)

It was a little bigger and wider than my hiking boot size 12. It is remote but a park road passes through. This was a fair way from the road.. it is unlikely anyone would be there in snow season playing around in the creek in bare feet.. sorry trevor I didn't have a tape. It is only the second print I've found in 7 years paying attention. This print just adds weight to some of my past recordings in the area.

Good find.
Definitely not a boot-print, unless they were wearing moccasins.
And it looks like a mud ridge between the big toe and second?

Thanks wolf.. yes I could see toe impressions with the eye but the shadows from the sun made it difficult to photograph. Definitely out of place there. I have been actively looking for footprints since 2010 and have only ever found two prints I thought worth reporting.

I always take a tape measure Dave. But I should take some plaster in a zip lock bag, as I've found a few prints over the years and wish I had made a cast of them.
I might start taking some on my journeys into the bush in future.

Yes Dan. Agree. I should have been better prepared.
