Saw this video on Facebook today, about a giant footprint in South Africa, and I got searching on YouTube to find the source.

Here's my search URL, go explore the videos if you wish, but by the looks of the thumbnail images, there may be fakes among them...

Forgot to add, that I thought granite was volcanic rock, not sedimentary, making it pretty hard to leave a footprint!

Hi Shazzoir

I just done a quick bit of homework on Granite.

So granite is formed from volcanic activity and it does have a melting point.

So to my way of thinking is that the said foot print could have been made at some point in time following a volcanic eruption. The granite would take a while to harden up and me thinks the outside layer would harden before the inside so perhaps print was made by a giant biped walking on the granite after it had cooled enough to walk on but while the granite was still in a softer state prior to hardening .
