This topic will include information I've gathered from friends whom have had personal experiences, including sightings and my own personal experiences with the matter.
This subject will also expand on how I initially became aware of and interested in yowies, before I gave it any credence.
The dissapearance of Tiemhuzen Chalaer

This incident marked my first initial investigation and consideration of the possibility of yowies existing. After considering all the other options and probable possible explanations for his disappearance I considered the possibility of a yowie abducting him from the bush.
In August 2016, there was a party called Geohectic which was held at the edge of property, at a river delta of a creek running into the national forest, roughly here on the map.

I was at this party, a man called Tiemhuzen Chalaer dissapeared at the party reportedly sometime between 6:00am and 9:00am on the Sunday. His shoes were found near his campsite with his socks inside, and his friends said he told them he was going for a piss before he dissapeared.
Tiemhuzen was a diabetic, and his insulin injection pen was found in his tent.
The most likely possibilities for his dissapearance I've postulated are as follows:
1. He went for a walk in the bush, and either got lost, fell somewhere or he got bitten by a snake or spider.
Sniffer dogs and search efforts did not find a trace of evidence of Tiemhuzen in the area, and considering the dogs had his shoes and socks to get a scent and they were unable to find any body or blood, indicates he was not attacked by a wild animal or that he was bitten by a snake or spider and collapsed somewhere. There was also supposedly property in 5km from the party in each direction, a
But considering the fact he did not have his shoes and socks on when he dissapeared, and the fact his friends reported him saying he was going for a piss and the fact he left his insulin pen in his tent, I find it highly unlikely that he went for a walk at the time of his dissapearance.
2. His visa expired and he fled away interstate to escape immigration authorities, because he was reportedly failing at school and his parents had supposedly sent him to Australia to study a masters in Hospitality.
Considering the fact he left his shoes and socks, and his diabetics pen which he would need frequently, I find it hard to consider it likely that he fled interstate. It's more likely than him going for a walk without his diabetics pen or his shoes, however the fact he hasn't even informed his parents and search efforts continue after a year makes me wonder why he would put his parents through such unnecessary suffering if he did flee from immigration authorities. It would also be a difficult task to flee without an insulin pen you require to survive and go on a 10+ hour long drive interstate, and then face the challenge of acquiring a new pen whilst avoiding a paper trail or detection from authorities.

3. Either human abduction or foul play, or Yowie abduction.
Foul play would be unlikely considering there's no evidence to support that possibility with regards to blood or other dna found.
Human abduction would be a difficult but not impossible task, however the community who attends these parties are not known to commit violence. This was a one off incident which has not reoccurred in the same community of party goers for many underground parties before and after this incident occurred.
People who live in the area have reported hearing strange noises coming from the creeks late at night.
I've heard a huge 6 foot tall barbed wire fence was erected in the surrounding area of the party after the search efforts for Tiemhuzen stopped.
Considering the fact not a single trace of him was found after extensive search efforts, and the fact the evidence I've outlined above does not support the previous conjectures I've made. I believe Yowie abduction is the most likely contender for Tiemhuzens dissapearance considering the fact he blatantly dissapeared without a trace, as if he was picked up and taken off.
I don't generally get a bad feeling when I go to take a piss at these parties, and I never go into the bush to piss. I stay very close to the campsite at all times. However on one of the nights of the party, and pretty much only that time - before I was even aware of the existence of yowies. I had a strange feeling that I was being watched by something in the darkness when I went to take a leak. I haven't and don't regularly feel that way.
This party was in the middle of nowhere pumping really loud psychedelic music for three days, I'm sure anything which could have heard us which was intelligent would have probably taken interest in the noise and come to check it out. However whilst the noise does attract, the community has a tendency to play really distressing whacked genre of music called hitech late at night from around 1am to 6am, so I wouldn't be surprised if that music upset and distress the yowies and motivated them to kidnap and eat Tiemhuzen.
