As always, this is a lot of fun to read. I was intrigued by the Witness Report with the mystery object coming into view as Dave walked out of range of the camera.

It doesn't look like a head to me but I don't know what it does look like. I've watched it a few times now and cannot work out what I'm looking at. It's clearly an object and not a living thing, but that's as much as I'd be willing to swear to.

Anyway, this is a great issue and everyone involved did a great job.

This is the video that was posted on here some years ago, I will post it on here because if you want to make a comment you need to see the video first.

Kudos for the effort put in yowiedan.
Just a bit of positive criticism... the text is a bit hard to read with the images behind it.
May I suggest using the full colour photos as you are doing but place a white box layer underneath the text then reduce the opacity of the box layer until you are happy with enough image to still look great but the text stands out better?

As one person said in the comments, the trees are clearly visible through the spaces in the object - it's not a head. I'm not sure what it is, but it's an object not a living thing. The question (for me) is who/what was holding it there and how they got so close to the person placing the camera without them being aware someone else was present. It seems like an odd thing to do and I think a typical prankster would've done something more obvious if they were going to 'photobomb' someone's camera.

It's weird and I can't account for it. I'm sure it's not a head or anything living, though - an object is being held in front of the camera by an unknown individual for unknown reasons. I can't say more than that.

It really looks like a head wearing a hoodie to me...could the videographer be having a lend of us somehow?

That's another possibility, of course.

Even giving the benefit of the doubt to the person who posted it, I wouldn't have seen that video out of context and thought "that's a Yowie".

Even with that suggestion from the OP, I don't see anything that indicates anything other than someone playing a prank (either on the OP or on YouTube more generally).

If it's a deliberate hoax it's not a very good one. It's hard to know what to make of that video.
