How far does the 'please don't offend muslims' thing have to go before Aussies sit up and take notice?

That's got to be a joke, surely? Someone's done it for satirical purposes.

They can't ban dogs (on a leash) nor can they dictate what sort of bathers people wear. They also cannot police what people eat.

A "sign" of the times. Not!

The sign is fake and has been circulating the net for 2 months.

There is no organisation called, "The supreme Islamic council of Victoria." There is the "Islamic council of Victoria."

The sign has no municipal logos, and Melbourne never refers to itself as the "City of Greater Melbourne."

Aside from the City of Melbourne confirming it's not one of their signs, the big giveaway though?

Melbourne doesn't have any beaches in its municipality.
