In celebration of the hotly anticipated videogame Monster Hunter, the developers are offering a reward to anyone that can prove the existence of real-life monsters. The game's developer, Capcom, is currently offering a £50,000 reward to anyone that can provide conclusive evidence of one of 10 real-life monsters. The monsters, or cryptids, Capcom is looking for evidence of include Bigfoot, the Lock Ness Monster, the Mongolian Death Worm, mermaids, the Earth Hound, the Yeti, the Cupacabra, the Flying Snake of Namibia, Yowie and the Cornish Owlman. Those looking to pick up the prize will not have to catch a monster, but will have to provide firm evidence of the monster's existence.
This strange publicity stunt to find real-life monsters is being hosted by Capcom in a partnership with John Downes of The Centre of Fortean Zoology. Downes, and his team, were recruited by the game developer to provide their extensive knowledge on the subject, and will also provide skillful examination of the submitted evidence. Downes and his team will ultimately be the judges of the competition and were responsible for choosing the 10 monsters up for hunting. This contest will be running from late January 2018 to late June of the same year.

SO BUGGER IT I ENTERED
My entry....
My name is Paul John McLeod
I am an Australian ex military member, published author and now full time researcher of Australia's cryptic hominid the so called Yowie.
I am writing to your good self in order to submit for entry some interesting data that has come about as result of a three year (thus far) research project I have been compiling on the subject. I feel that my research results are at a level good enough to submit for entry into the competition to win the advertised prize for proof of the Yowies existence as a factual living biological species.
OUTLINE OF MY RESEARCH FOCUS AND METHODOLOGY.
INTRODUCTION
Given the vast array of eyewitness reports dating all the way back into prehistory, when one includes aboriginal oral traditions:
Why is the only evidence of the yowies existance up until now consisted off eyewitness accounts, yet precious little scientifically testable data to support its stated existence?
Alternately this same question can be rephrased as:
b) What factors have negated, restricted or otherwise encumbered discovery of such testable data? Indeed, could this data void be attributable to the use of incorrect research methodologies and assumptions?
What new methodologies could be applied to answer the question of the Yowies possible existence?
I determined that perhaps a total compilation of both historical accounts and modern accounts may when mapped in conjunction with each other may provide some usable location data, with special interest shown to early accounts not widely disseminated to the general public thus lessening the chances of area hoaxing based on known history.
1) COMPLETED WITNESS SIGHTING AREA DATA COLLECTION AND CLUSTER ANALYSIS
After a year and a half of research I had compiled and completed an extremely telling digital pin map that provided me with large and surprisingly numerous clusters of sightings that had a broad and consistent spread of dates both historical and modern indicating a potential long term and ongoing habitation of yowies in specific Regions.
The completed cluster pin map provided me with a clearer idea of possible date ranged species migratory radiation pattern beginning by date range in the Eastern states of Australia and spreading to the north .
The cluster map provided me with an optimal starting poInt for boots on ground, field research.
https://youtu.be/oozp6xTUrFo
The location I ended up selecting was Tivoli in South Eastern Queensland. The area is central to a majority of good reputable and numerous sightings clusters samples and provided a varied selection of good potential yowie habitats without the terrain access rigors presented in places like the Blue Mountains of NSW.
I have developed a fresh methodology which has yielded remarkable results in a very short space of time, which can be traced directly to information consistencies contained in the witness reports cluster groups themselves.
Along with using the assumption gleaned from the thousands of reports I had studied indicating that yowies could be determined as semi nochternal in nature and possible night time ambush predators.
I have discarded entrenched methods that have failed in the past, such as trail cameras, team or accompanied ground searches, tree knocking, whooping, scent placing, bate and trap setting along with just about every other known but failed methodologies.
Instead I went back to putting myself in the circumstances in which almost all yowie reports and oral traditions spring from.
A lone, non threatening person in a well scouted location late at night when nocturnal predators are most active and accessible, and equipped with an Infra red capable HD camera and evidence collection supplies.
I had some success filming a potential yowie in HD from a distance of 500 meters within the first month of arriving there. In fact the footage made print in
THE QUEENSLAND TIMES under the title "Researcher films the ipswich yowie" in January 2017. The footage and news article was well received by independent researchers and the general public.
IPSWICH YOWIE SIGHTING NEWS ARTICLE
https://www.qt.com.au/news/ipswich-yowi ... m/3139444/
Over the course of time since last January I have published 87 videos denoting habitats that have yielded good results with ground evidence such as footprints, hair samples, tree breaks, primitive structures which are suggestive of ambush hunting blinds , the recording of vocalisations. And as you shall see the filming of a creature referred to by Aboriginals as the Jungadee , a smaller sub species of yowie with the very distinctive and uniquely identifying anomalous trait of glowing red eyeshine. Unheard of in the animal kingdom as far as I am aware?
This distinct characteristic is clearly shown in the video evidence submitted.
The creature displays a conical shaped head, fixed head and shoulders rotation similar to that of a bulky primate with little or no apparent neck to head rotation, the aforementioned striking glowing red eyes.
A NOTE ON THE FOOTAGE
The red eyed anomalous creature rapidly blazes through camera frame so fast that at the time of filming I didnt even see it at the time, as such had not
followed it.

THE DISCOVERY

After cropping the few seconds of video that the red eyeshine appears on, I panned closer in on it and stabilized the focus.
With the footage centered, zoomed and stabilized I realized that it was not that I had panned away from the red eyed creature but rather, the thing was astonishingly fast.
At negative x50 percent speed, once again it was still just a blur of two red glowing dots.
I was becoming convinced this was just a pair of some species of iridescent bug
I rarely use slow motion settings beyond the initial processing preset software limit of negative x 50 percent because I have to completely process the video and then import the slowed version and then reduce the new version anew a very cumbersome process
However I kept on reducing the clips speed until I was looking at the obvious fluid motion of a creature that turns its head away from the filming light, looks up and directly at myself and then turns its conical head from the light again, this time looking directly down, and finally, rapidly moving behind some branches and exiting from frame at speed to the right.
The resulting footage looks correct for a good slow motion piece of footage of about negative x200 deaing with say a rapid frame pass by an opossum.
However, this creatures speed was such that It required that I process the clip to the final frame speed of negative x 500!
This extended processing of slow motion gaining a range of motion equal to the suggested Oppossum negative x200 motion range and speed.
Aboriginal oral traditions concerning the Jungadee appearance and behaviour.
KEY POINTS
"They are hairy humanoid creatures that are 2-3 feet tall"
"...have furry bodies and have glowing red eyes"...
"...they move very fast but In short bursts and have an unusual smoothness to their speed which is very hard to explain".
These points are confirmed in the video sequence provided.
I also have a substantial hair sample left by the creature. I do not have the means or reasources at my disposal for D.N.A and mtD.N.A testing.
I am willing to pass the sample on for testing if required.
I have provided a footage link to view of the hair sample.
Attached still images from film of the creature
Video links to all HD video relating to the Jungadee creatures discovery.
including the astounding x negative 500 slow motion footage of this clearly real creature.
Conclusion: Owing to the complete lack of primates in Australia's evolutionary history combined with a world wide lack of any known species capable of internally iridescent red glowing eye shine I submit these video evidences as proof of that the being seen in this footage can only be the primate like Yowie known as Jungadee.
