Have tried all the usual methods, and nothing. When I use the icon (above) for inserting pics, it just fails every single time.
I have pics of a 'footprint' I found on the weekend, and would like to post. I do so only because it's a huge 'foot', and has a sort of odd midpoint lateral mound where the earth was not flattened. It has either a ridiculously high instep, or a fold across the middle - if that makes sense. Was taken about 15kms off road, inside National Park, then further again off the nearest trail. Was amongst very dry dusty dirt and leaf litter, at a high vantage point, and was amongst others - though there was only the one which retained foot shape well enough to photograph. Have my own boot beside for size ref. If only I could post it
There two ways of uploading pics one is to use a file sharing website to host your pics then upload the code here,
The other is just to upload them straight to this forum, to do so follow these steps...... when your replying or writing a new post there will be a options tab and an attachments tab below the submit button. Click on the attachments tab, then add files, then simply add them from your PC.
If they are large files however it may not work or may take some time to upload.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Dion. I don't use file sharing websites, so that's out. Files aren't large, so that's not it. Attachment option doesn't work for me (just deletes the file every time). Mystery ... like the footprint

Maybe its the file type? has the image come off a phone? I know some file types are not allowed, try changing the photo file to a more common .jpg or .jpeg etc.

okay ... I can see what the problem is. I'm trying to avoid having any kind of identification info in link.
does anyone know if it's possible to copy/paste images via PM or something? I'm not able to upload anything with my computer or IP info on it
Not sure I am really following, cant you just change the information/file name or whatever if you are worried about personal information?
And yes you can send pictures through in a PM the same way you would do it in a normal post but you will still have the same thing you are trying to avoid.

Thanks Dion. Yes, tried re-naming etc, but none of them worked (Just appears as a line of code). Having said that, the original forms/names did the same thing. No matter what form I put them in, or how I name them, they always come up as code text. No pics.
I'm wondering why I can't just copy and paste directly into a post. Is there something in the site which prevents it? Doesn't seem to be any tech help here to ask
Try this video it is a bit old but works just the same, you dont need code, simply attach them straight to the forum.
