stayed in Howard and fished that area last September. no luck with the fishing. got severely bitten by sandflies. late one night heard an odd sound around midnight outside the bedroom window - like nothing I heard before. my youngest family member heard it also and asked "what was that?" I replied with "just a bird". as I didn't want to scare her. Sound was similar to a whoop ending with a scream.

The Mother is the only Yowie Hunters witness that actually says "they're real. they exist.
No other witness has ever made that statement and the interviewer never asks any of the witnesses
any question to that effect.
The awkward sounding stance the Yowies have leaning against a tree with arms over their heads
is reported often.

I investigated that report, 11 years ago.

I'm aware of only a couple of yowie reports around Howard since then.

The Howard incident certainly seems to be one the better audio reports.

Can't help but wonder as to what has happened to the plaster cast that was made of the alleged footprint.

And Black, did you draw any conclusions from your investigation of 11 years ago ?

I thought the witnesses were lovely people. Very friendly and open.

The footprint didn't turn out well, which left the accounts of each of the three witnesses. Although anecdotal, I thought the accounts corroborated each other very well.

Naturally, I spent daytime hours and night time hours in the area. I did hear what sounded like footsteps approaching in the darkness, in an open field. But that was about it.

The witnesses related, "Someone" one night, decided to throw a tantrum in an old stable on the property, tossing saddles and thi gd around. The young 13yr old girl had a number of interesting dreams about yowies afterwards.

Of note, she related to me, that while she was watching the yowie pretending to be a tree, and it was watching her, the best way she could describe what she was seeing, is it looked like a tv show or movie special effect. It looked semi see through.

The mother didnt make mention of anything different in its appearance besides it looking "real". The difference in description could be related to the age difference between mother and daughter, with perhaps the daughter having sharper eyesight, or just being more observant to detail, or perhaps got closer than her mother did?

nice work man...their camo is one of the baffling things, the other thing i am wondering is , could they be very poor sigted in daylight hrs hence the amount of close calls of a day?, as their eyes are high quality night vision, it may explain how people end up on top of them so much when not even trying?? hence why they stare of a day when spotted, or dont even look up, they may be blind as bats in the sun??
