I have seen mentions of high voltage power lines in some posts. what's the go with high tension power lines?

i believe the idea behind high voltage powerlines is twofold.
being a clear cutting stretching on for kilometres they act as yowie highways for easy and problem free travel at night time.
but more importantly is the clear cutting attracts prey animals to them. in the heavy woods or bush soft tender tasty grasses and undergrowth aren't as available for easy browsing as they are once the trees are removed. yowie could conceivably wait in the tree lines there and chase down prey.

in the area that I have seen a great deal of activity - yes indeed there are high voltage power lines. the power lines crack and sizzle 24/7. you can hear the power lines before you see them.

No pun intended
It is well documented that long term exposure to high voltage power lines and the resulting Flux can have negative health outcomes for those that reside under or in close proximity to them.
I think one of Deans close encounters occurred near to a power line clearing .
That particular clearing certainly could be used as a link between some expansive bushland areas and some very urban areas .
I feel that the human made infrastructure is simply just being utilised as a convenient pathway, just out of way of the normal thoroughfares that people use .

interesting information. all activity I have observed has occurred either on or within close proximity (3 KM either side) to the high voltage power line clearing.
thanks for the information.

All I can say about the Transgrid power lines that cut through the northern end of kings plains national park , is that it made a super highway for deer to colonise the lower eastern and southern end. I often wonder what else made this newly made access road thru near impassible bush it’s go to hiway.

It is true, high voltage power line towers and their lines, do seem to create corridors that are both in rural areas and generally out of view of humans, making it perfect travel ground for all manner of animals especially elusive ones.
The other aspect is the lines are perfect if you were a being that siphons electrical energy in order to manifest. But, if that were relevant, one would expect all manner of different being sightings in the immediate vicinity of high voltage power lines.
