HI

While browsing through youtube about bigfoot footages (of course most of them show nothing), I saw the following comment, don't know if this is useful:

=================================copy and paste
I am going to share some things with you my grandfather who was fullblooded Comanche .he told me the white men don't no thses things because your thinking to hard . the GAME CAMERA HAS A SMELL TO IT THAT SMALLS LIKE TERMITES AND CHEMICAL'S AND THE MEN THAT PUT THEM UP!! But have no fear I have a special trick for you to use . you first where sugercal gloves wiped down the camera with a natural pine oil. Next you get a bunch of pine needles yes this will work ! You get two zip lock bags the first one you put the pine needles in then the 📷 make sure you are using the gloves and no colone. After you put in zip bag put in another zip bag with pinenedals zip it air right shut NOW THIS IS THE TRICKY PART GET A RAZER TIP SCALPEL CUT OUT A SMALL HOLE JUST FOR THE 📷 CAMRA PART THAT TAKES PICS .AND THIS WILL BLOCK OUT THE SMELL AND BEFORE THAY SEE IT THAY SMELL it my friends .and if you are really serious bring a ladder have a friend hold it put the camera up way high taller then them but facing down .and make sure to put tree limes all around even if you have to tie them.

Pine needles? Wouldn't work so well in the Aussie bush!

Eucalypts, maybe. Further, plastic bags smell like ... plastic. Surely, a camera 'wrapped' in leaves or other natural material would be better. And yet further, surgical gloves stink! Bare but dirty (as in, rubbed in local soil) would be much better.

Better yet, piss all over the entire setup (the smell will mask the plastics/electronics aroma and draw them in with curiosity at the same time)... (taz)

That's a pissy suggestion, wolf.

The way I see it, is mask the human odor or overpower it. Eucalyptus spray should do the masking, and a rotting fish head should overpower the human scent. You could even do both
