I have spoken to the Witness and understandably, he is still very rattled by this incident.

I was just thinking the same thing about crack and prints.
. Did he not see the penis because waistline was below the bonnet?
I thought the same thing regarding emotions during my encounter. Like you could feel what they are feeling even. Human expressions and emotions but the rest animalistic . Very scary encounter and no fear from the hairy one!!

I’m glad I didn’t meet him in my Suzuki Sierra
He would’ve taken me home for his kids to play with.

Also, I can't help wondering if the report contains all the truckie's words verbatim, or whether they were they penned for him by a writer. That report was very nicely put together and I'm questioning in my mind if it's a precise transcript of the actual interview. I know some truckies and while they are top blokes, there is no way they could write like that! Dean, would you care to comment please?

Technically, I am a Truckie too (3 days a week anyway and small trucks)

Lets stop treating these beings as myths or oddities and momentarily adopt an objective view point.
WTF was this thing thinking, stumbling blindly out onto a road which is known human territory and then being so shocked to find a human there.
Then getting all pissed off like they own the road and the human shouldnt be there. Maybe they think they own the whole planet not
just the forests.
This story tells me they dont really like us.

They make much foolish mistakes that you or I wouldn’t. Often almost like they want to be seen - particularly at night when they become bold due to our blindness.

They don’t like us. Especially me.

This one had lept from above landing on the ground with both feet and one hand as Iron Man or Superman would, just as he came around the corner.

Like so many of our Witnesses say - extremely annoyed they were seen, but broadly stupid for putting themselves in such a position.

I guess that’s why they haven’t caught up with us, intelligence wise.

This one has a chimpanzee head. The head comes out more forward from the chest. The head is smaller. It is animal with human expression.

It lives within Army Barracks confines - and beyond.

It’s something I don’t want to meet.

Geez...what do you write on the insurance claim in that situation? The more I've read and heard the less interested I've become in ever seeing one of these things, even at a safe distance.

Ha ha... you got me! There are exceptions to every rule and at least I now know of a truckie who CAN write.

Perhaps I need to widen my circle of friends.

Truly an incredible encounter! I ride my motorcycle on this road often, I'm sure glad I didnt come across him! Like most of the roads in the Gold Coast hinterland it's not busy but there still is regular traffic, it's does make you wonder how a creature that has managed to elude us for so long makes such a rookie error.
One can only hope that it's just a matter of time before one is filmed by a dash cam.
Lucky this bloke was in a 10 tonne truck!

That is the key point right there.
It seems they will do everything in their power to avoid us during the day, but at night they apparently get overconfident in their visual superiority. I have often heard 'researchers' comment, "luckily they don't know humans are night blind, otherwise they would rule the planet." ... IMO they know, demonstrated by many encounters and Dean's comment I quoted.

Sure is an odd one. Only reason i could think of why it would do such a thing is for distraction purposes or to scare the truck off as it objects to the human activity in its home. I wonder if hes spoken to other truck drivers and maybe someone has had a similar experience?

Also, surely it would have heard the truck coming and could have easily avoided human contact if it wanted to? Maybe had enough of human b.s with the army base and whatever else they are doing up there. Frustration taken out on the poor unwitting truck driver now forever mentally scarred by the incident.

Perhaps one day dash cams will be made standard for insurance purposed. When everyone has one it would only be time till a yowie was filmed I reckon.

It’s great to hear about all these new sightings. Its already been mentioned but thanks to Dean/AYR
for putting these reports together.This latest one is intense. This area is definitely ground zero for sightings.
If you look at the audio reports alone, there’s at least a dozen in that relative small area. Just a few........

#5 Ormeau: Tree feller runs up hill with chain saw to escape.

#18 Hinze Dam: young driver hits something, 7/8 ft. tall, ‘bolting out of the bush’.

#22 Mt. Tambourine: A jogger at first thinks he saw a horse but realises there’s no back, sprints home,
nearly dies of a heart attack until revived by his mother and brother.

#38 Upper Coomera: Brave dog ends up with broken leg.

#60 Wongawallan: Yowie startles driver when it jumps in front of his car from embankment.
‘it was like it was almost tracking us’……8-12 foot tall, ‘it was a massive thing’.

#88 Canungra: ‘I thought it was an army guy’.

#104 Beechmont: ‘looked like it was floating’, ‘glided across the road’.
Very similar to this latest report and close by.

# 119 Logan: ‘at first I thought it was a dog’.

So what’s with the jumping in front of vehicles ? #104, #60, #18.
Especially #18 where the front of the vehicle was damaged.
Dean more or less explains it in his post.
You would think with their abilities and stealth they could wait for traffic to pass.

This latest report with the Yowie standing up to the truck and banging the bonnet
reminded me of Rasty Rizzo crossing the road in the movie Midnight Cowboy,

"image" They pride themselves on being stealthy.

Hello Dean, any idea about the height of the embankment the yowie lept from? As sections of the beechmont road are cut from the side of the mountain this leap could have been from a substantial height. If a creature of an estimated 400kg jumped from a height of say 10 to 13 metres would it have left some sort of impact marks on the road? If a boulder weighing 400kg landed on a road from 10 metres I would imagine there would be some sort of sign. I appreciate rock is harder than flesh and bone but if the creature landed with both feet and a hand on the road it indicates to me that it could of jumped from a quite a height? Either way it sure is one hell of an encounter!

I also wonder if Canugra army base is a training camp? Could it be a government, army controlled habitat for yowie?

A truckie who doesn't use a dashboard camera while on the clock? That's interesting. More truckies would be using them than not, these days.

I'd like to interview him in person and examine the front of his truck. Any chance that can be arranged, Dean?

Hi Black,

I doubt it is the drivers own truck. He simply does deliveries for the local gravel yard (or alike).

When we go to the location with him, I will let you know. Paul and myself have already done the interviews.
