Yes it's hard to convince your spouse that trudging up and down a gorge is exciting.
When I drove my wife down Tablelands road she looked at me like I was the Boston Strangler.
Good luck with the next hike.
Cheers Buck

Its good to see that some-one at least is out and about.
Down here in Victoria there are plenty of places that need to be checked out, but no-body seems to have the time to do so.
Bunyip State Park (real nice and close to Melbourne)
Noojee (just a bit further east)
Abberfeldy River crossing.
Licola
Tara-Bulga National Park

Went on a camping trip with some mates to Rathdowne a few weeks back. One is Aboriginal, and we were permitted to camp there through his connections.
The caretaker of the land told us a few cool stories around the campfire. We camped at a place called Mount Barney, a stones throw from 'Junjadee Mountain' (Little Hairy Man Mountain).
The stories involved junjadees attacking people in their sleep, and picking fights. Apparently, if you beat one in a wrestle, they will be your friend for life.
He also said if you're walking along a road with a smoke and you hear someone following you, to put it down and keep walking. The junjadee will pick it up, smoke it and be on it's way. Not real safe if you want to avoid bushfires but. I'd probably take my chances with a wrestle.

Romeo - I know what you're talking about there, with the smoking.
I've had many people tell me about those little things, and yes, i've been walking home of a night time smoking & heard someone walking behind me.. I didn't think anything of it til now. Now I know otherwise, and will keep smoking as i'm walking home, no matter what.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.
