Hi Nathe, nice to meet you. Tell us what it was exactly that caught your interest with the yowie subject. Have you had an experience or know someone who has?

hi ive never seen a yowie b4 , but experienced alot of strange things while visiting my fionce in norway.they still believe that alot of there forest r still haunted and rarely go through them.and with there legends of norwegian trolls iam kinda wondering if there is a link between big-foot and norse mythologys trolls.
i strongly believe there is a yowie in the blue mountains as the forest is huge and most of it still unexplored.just a matter of seing one to make myself settled.this weekend i went into kings table land and had no success.iam planing a 2 night trip starting friday with another mate and my fionce with cameras ready..try also to record some sounds if we do hear some..iam hopeing that the garlic sausages i will be cooking will attract those critters.i be sure to let everyone know how it goes..also to i heard of a report on the yowie hunters webpage from glossodia,i live right in glossodia and doubt a yowie sighting here is possible, not enough bush..but if anyone knows any good hotspots in the hawksbury let me know..

Trolls and Sasquatch/Bigfoot/Yowie etc are all similar beasties.

Most of Norway is Mountainous plateau and well forested. There be Trolls in them there mountains today, I sure believe.

Hi All,

Just like Nathe, I'm new here too - but not new to the subject of cryptozoology. I'm from Malaysia & have always been fascinated by the subject since I was a kid. Have often been entertaining thoughts of joining expeditions to look for Sasquatch, Yowies etc, although I have next to zero experience with camping. Sure am glad to have found AYR. Have been reading your past expedition reports & I must say, the activity in Australia seems pretty rife.

Hi Dawn,

Nice to receive a reply. Am quite new to forums & group thingies & am a bit of a recluse when it comes to online chatting - prefer face 2 face conversations, so please be patient. But it is nice to be welcomed

BTW, I don't mean to spring a 'new' topic here (I noticed the dos & don'ts at the bottom of page), but I feel the need to discuss this observation that I have on the behavioural differences between Bigfoot & Yowie encounters. Is it OK to do it here, of should I submit it as a brand new post? Am unfamiliar with the forum etiquette here. Please advice.

As to these forum thingies...the guys have been putting up with my inadequicies for a few years now, so I doubt you could be more disarsterous then me!

welcome aboard , u should do some on feild research as your country is at the peak of discovering this creature.alot of oppertunity there.i know its daunting going into a forest knowing these creatures roam them but imaginie seeing one up front, it would be an experience of a lifetime..

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Have been rather busy with work lately, but have finally found some time to jot down my thoughts & post the new topic - it's entitled "Yowie vs Bigfoot".

All responses are welcome & much needed. :D
