Hello all, just a usual check in I do every now and then to see if there are any reports or developments etc in South Australia.
Tends to be a pretty boring state we’re we don’t hear to much at all about anything cryptid.
Only things I have found are: the possible Tasmanian Tiger video filmed along Moonta beach and a dogman report few Ks out of Alford, which is only a 15 minute drive from my hometown.
Keen on having a stroll in the flinders but misso is a tad on edge when out there.

Interesting that your wife is on edge when in the area that you mentioned.
Does she experience feelings of being watched and generally uneasy ?
Maybe more out there than meets the eye!

I agree that we seem to lack encounters here in SA,but having read the reports within the forum,we’ve had a few.
I’ve travelled a lot of SA coastline and throughout the Riverland for the last 35 years or so,and have never seen anything, but as previously mentioned, have heard a few things that I couldn’t quite pick..........and definitely had the experience of everything “go quiet”and the uneasy feeling of “being watched” even though you know there’s no-one around for miles.
That’s happened to me a couple of times on fishing trips over on the Far West Coast on the Nullarbor

You seem to be well travelled Outback Lurker, every come down Yorke Penisular way ? I could not believe when I came upon the Dogman story which is so close to me.
Also what did you do in those situations where you felt you were being watched ? You push on or turn back etc?

The first time I was solo fishing at Yalata,at a beach called Geus Hole about 20 years ago.
Yalata is West of Ceduna, and a long way from Adelaide.......anywhere for that matter, and is on Indigenous Lands, and permits are required to access these beaches..........a no alcohol policy also applies. You need to be well prepared and self sufficient with fuel, water and food etc as there is absolutely nothing around. For a lot of beach fisho’s,this is the trip of a lifetime and is the Mecca for mulloway/jewfish fishermen.Typically you head West for a week or so at a time.
A reasonably narrow beach, perhaps 20m or so,then towering dunes about 40m tall which you have to scale to get to and from your campsite
I’d fished the morning from first light and was heading toward mid day when I first had the “feeling”........only from one direction if that makes sense.I put it down to being a bit tired as I’d driven from Adelaide the day before, not got much sleep as you’re excited about the fishing on tap and the temp was climbing into the mid 30’s.
I trudged back over the dunes for some lunch and a drink and had a sleep for an hour or so.........I awoke suddenly, almost in a panic with that feeling again.......a good scan of the area through binoculars revealed nothing, and put it down to fatigue still.
I went for another fish until about 8pm when I’d had enough sun and heat for the day and was absolutely knackered.
Got back to camp, had a feed and some water and was settling down listening to ABC radio.....the only station you can get out there.......the place was “eerily quiet” all of a sudden......and that feeling again.
Not that there was a lot of noise anyway........just the normal sort of insect noises and a few gulls etc.....then nothing for about 5 mins or so......then back to normal.Again I put it down to fatigue. The next 5 days were un eventful.
The second time was about 5 years later, at another Far West Coast beach called Dog Fence, where the dingo fence hits the coast, and then stretches all the way up through to Southern Qld somewhere.A similar scenario to Geus, but this time had a couple of mates as well.
I picked up on it,but the others didn’t........perhaps just nothing, but who knows.I didn’t say anything to the others.
Geus Hole and Dog Fence Beach are about 150km apart I reckon.

Very interesting read Outback Lurker..... Also hope you caught some nice fish!
I just went on YouTube to try find a Video called: Dogman in Kadina ( even though the actual account was out near Alford, 20 km away from Kadina) and I can’t find it. It was on that page Yowee Down Under.... Do you know what happened to the page?
Alford is only a 15 minute drive from my hometown too.
