Witheren Yowie Article and Pro Sketch by Buck

I'm sure most of the people here follow us on Facebook to keep up with this and that, besides Rusty who lives in a cave and is yet to discover fire.

Attached is today's article in the Gold Coast Bulletin. Our witness had sat down with Buck to compile a more realistic sketch based on his observations. The witness did a rough sketch, however Buck was able to fill in the gaps. The only comment made was the hair on top of the head could have been a little longer. Other than that, this is a very close comparison to the Biped that came out onto the road in front of the truck.

The last paragraph in the article was interesting. No denial.

Great work Buck, thank you.

Good to see a semi serious article. Shame about all the "Terror" claptrap. I suppose that will be the agenda to villify the hairy people. Humans are the real villians.

Strangely I was logged off somehow while writing my last more inflammatory post but seems im still logged on?Weird!

Dungeon , I live in a dungeon

Yeah it does seem like a more serious effort from the author .

I should also mention that Buck's sketch adds credibility or realism or believability to the witness account .

Speaking of the witness , I would imagine that his whole life changed in an instant . Is he okay , does anyone know ?

A close Yowie sighting is a life changing experience for most Witnesses. Most people battle with the reality and never view the Australian bush the same way again.

This was no different for this individual. He battled with sleep and had initial anxiety. Thanks to support from people close to him, he’s ok now, but it’s forever burnt into his mind. Like others, I’m sure not many days pass in the near future that he won’t think about it.

Buck sat with him and did the more refined sketch based on the observations. It was a closer depiction than his own, as he doesn’t draw. That said, we all think he did very well.

The Bulletin made no mention of the sketch and how it was penciled, which was disappointing, as this should have been a point of interest and importance.

The witness was compelling to listen to. I’ve listened to the audio report over half a dozen times now. It was a remarkable chance to draw this for AYR and himself as well. Dean and I met him at the spot where he had parked his truck at the bottom of the hill. He said his legs had no strength and he was struggling to move the clutch. We spent time at the site looking around and found some curious details about the crossing as well what the creature may have or not have seen when it decided cross the road. I guess you always have to ask the question why did the Yowie cross the road? One can only guess.

The biggest thrill for me was him guiding me through the process of what he saw. He did just that, didn’t deviate or embellish, gave feedback on the spot as to if I was getting close to what he saw. I made a bunch of notes on the drawing as well as took some measurements that he illustrated with his hands. All in all I spent over three hours with Dean and the Truckie but had to call it quits to go to work. Dean fed and watered us while we worked on details like the eyes and the lips.

I sent him the sketch and he said I pretty much nailed it but the hair on his head was a bit longer.

Again a big thanks to Dean and the team that have a site like this where people can unload and be believed.

And he’s still out there... all 10 feet of him.

Hi Dean
Just listened to your interview on 7th February with my daughter Carly on Cairns radio about the lady who was pushed down Red Hill.Im so glad she finally interviewed you I have been trying to get airplay about the subject for years. My daughter is a non believer but she knows I'm a firm believer and I told her you were the best person to talk to about yowies.

I'll second that motion, and also add that its quite an eerie and haunting drawing of something that has almost come to life for the beholder looking at it.

As amazing as Bucks picture is I still find the drawing of the yowie and the truck the most thought provoking! I assume this was drawn by the witness?
This puts into perspective just how humongous this creature was.
It really gets you thinking! What are the dietary requirements for a creature so huge? How many calories would it take to fuel a creature this large on a daily basis?
What sort of range would it hunt and forage over?
Im speculating that this is not the only creature in the Canugra, Witheren area.
The army base is a huge area and possibly is safe zone for yowie, from which they forage and hunt, Im again speculating this. Most of this happens in the confines of the training area, every now and then for whatever reason they leave there safe area and we get the encounters as reported.
Certainly poses more questions than answers.
This for me is up there as one of the most incredible encounters.

I think it would be good if AYR acquired an identikit program for the yowie, that witnesses could access after they submit a report. I'm sure it is being used in bigfoot research in the states.

This way, the witness can go through and do their own close up, like buck's drawing. Select the eyes, then brow, top of head shape, hairline, nose, mouth, ears, length of hair, perhaps move eyes closer or farther apart, skin qualities, hair qualities. Then, a 2nd identikit for the overall shape and structure of the entire figure.

This report in particular is generating a lot of media attention. Thanks to your detailed drawing, Buck, and the uniquely eerie way you've drawn the eyes, I think there's more media attention ahead.

Thanks for all the kinds words folks. An identikit would be useful, it would take a long time to assemble. The Witheren sighting is one of the best sightings that delivers rich detail of the experience.

Here's a full pic of the preliminary sketch.

Great stuff Buck. Certainly has a large mouth!! Its good you got access to the witness while its still fresh in his mind.

Its true these witnesses are very lucky to have AYR to listen to their encounters and offer support. Not like the old days before the internet when we were just told to shut up about it!

Hi Buck, just wondering if you did a full sketch of Witheren Yowie Head to Toe.
Be good if you did, also be good to throw in a 6 foot Human next to a 10 foot Yowie just for comparison.
No pressure lol.

Awesome Sketch to mate, blows my mind that theres a Yowie running loose that looks like that.

Another interesting sketch would be if you include a 6 foot human standing next to the truck whilst the truck is being pushed by the Yowie in that drawing.

There is a free program called Sculptris . It's like moulding a piece of clay . http://pixologic.com/sculptris/
Sculptris is a begginer version of Z brush . http://pixologic.com/zbrush/gallery/

The surprising thing about this great sketch is that it looks so different to other depictions of Yowies we've seen.
Intelligent but wise, as if he's been around for a few decades and knows exactly what's going on; more human than animal.
