Big Cat Sighting Western Sydney

Good evening

My sighting of a big cat was on the 1st of march 2019 in the bushland near my place in western sydney. I live in willmot. I was walking my blue cattle in the morning between 5:30am and 6am while it was still dark. I heard some noise in the bushes and turned around and saw a figure of a big black cat at about 1.4 metres tall with a tail as long as its body. It was slightly visable even in yhe dark.

Its eyes were glowing orange and peircing in the darkness, it followed me about 20 or so metres than disapeered while making a grunting And bellowing sound like that of a common house cat just deeper that made the ground vibrate and feel it straight in your chest.

I made a hasty retreat home shaken and terrified,
Few days later i returned to the area mid morning with the sun up and found a headless kangaroo body just laying just out of the bushland, the very tip of its tail was gone too, i photographed it and some prints beside it. Some were small prints and some were huge cat prints.

This bushland area is large enough to hold a large population of deer, fox, rabbits, snakes and various species of birds.

Its definatley a nerving place to go by yourself.

Sounds like a scary experience! Not something I would want to go through.

In regards to the help your after, what sort of help do you need, if it in regards to photo ID'ing the prints I would say you have a mixture of Cat and Dog Prints, but am certainly no expert. And the headless roo, well that wouldn't help to settle the nerves.

Could you deploy some game cameras? to try and catch the culprit.

I think some prints could be kangaroo or dogs but some are cerainly to strange.

I have set up some camera's hopefully i get something.

The help i'm referring too is hopefully someone can come forward with their own encounters so we can hopefully set up a group to go search.

In regards to the help your after not sure there are groups who go out and look for Big Cats, but there are certainly individuals that are interested in it however. Someone may eventually read this thread who has that interest or try Facebook.

Yes very good interview and as one of the comments under the video says "Crikey. He's got the trifecta!" although he didn't see what made the print on his car the trifecta sure does comes close.
