What Animal Cries Like A Baby

Unread post by Yowie Chaser »

Hi Guys, Yowie Chaser,

Just wondering what animal cries like a baby, well thats what it sounds like.

At the same place had rocks bowled down the hill at least 4 or 5 times. Sounded like bowling balls.

Had strange feelings no scared ones but just weird stuff.

That's one weird bird call, anyone would think it's a baby or very young child.

Habitat: The Green Catbird is found along the east coast of Australia, from south-eastern Queensland to southern New South Wales. The Green Catbird is found in temperate and subtropical rainforest and paperbarks, and sometimes adjacent eucalypt forest.

Thanks for posting that Dion.

Hey Dion, sounds like that for sure, when i got there sounded like it was coming from a tree, then it seemed to follow. So thats good that we cleared that up.

Now what about rocks that seemed to be rolled down the hill as i walked not far in front of me.

i never seen the rocks, but i did see some kind of bird Quail , it came running down the hill like a chook with its head cut off.

Thought the rock rolling might have been that running around, but them i took another couple of steps & heard what seemed to be another rock rolling down the hill again.

Any lyrebirds up that way? They can make all sorts of screwy noises. When I lived in lower blue mountains, we had one out the back of our place that made the sound of a freight train going over the railway bridge ( bridge was a few km away ). 'Ca-choong, ca-choong' intersperesed with metallic wheel noises.
Another animal that makes crying noises is koala, they can also grunt.... but not like rocks falling.

Yep I knew straight away what sort of bird made the calls as we get the Green Catbird here on the Central Coast NSW.

Yes lyrebirds will imitate other birds and other sounds as seen below;

Hey Guys Yowie Chaser.

Also Dion your link not working mate to the bird..

So in the 1st vid, i had to delete part of it, showed where i was & i beleive this could be a place where Dee & Ron are working this area.
So not far along the track i started hearing Medium size Rocks being bowled down the hill about 20 meters in front i would say.
Now i cant here them in the vid maybe someone with head phone might be able to hear them.
i did see a quail i think thats what it was going nuts thought it was him but i only took a few more steps & another came down the hill.

2nd vid you can here the crying about halfway through.

1st vid has the rocks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqfrYh-yAsY

2nd vid has the baby cries.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz7PAfmhn0E

3rd not much happening in this one..

Yowie chaser--Dont you get it, your still looking at tree branches. You have countless of videos up. Then you see someone putting in all the hard work and working 86 hour weeks on top of it. You know along with most forum members we have been trying to keep this place private so it wont get unindated with yowie wannabies. I know its a free country and anyone can go anywhere. But where is your respect. You have just shown everyone . Now i have 9 bush cams up out there, along with 11 voice recorders, powder on trails, hanging devices and now i am afraid of all my gear getting stolen. NOT to mention you are severly disrupting our teams regularity communicating with these creatures. Not once have i ever said no if someone asks to come out--because then we still keep on routine, but it seems to be all about videos to you. Thanks for nothing.

Open apology, i just feel that i put in so many hours and i know others do to. I just felt like all my time had been wasted. Sorry to jump the gun. I really do feel i am so close to getting real true communication so i had a coronary reading this. Please i know people dont need my permission but please if you must go out there, just let me know so i can change my nights/ hours, pull down my equipment and try to retry other methods if i know other researchers are there. Again i apologise. Dee

Hi, i am so invested in this. Yowie Bait once told me " Dont let this consume your life", i should listen to his advice more. The more you try, the less you get. I have to come back down to listening more rather then the pressure of getting this movie so fast. There is always more communication ( and trust ) without the devices, but in the end, the devices give you the proof to show people with the same interests. It frustrates me a lot and i need to calm down and get back to basics with them.Understand the hairees and go along with them. When i try to cheat them the less communication i receive.
Feb, march and beginning of april is a nightmare out there also, each year (on my past records) showing juvenile grass tick. Last year anti histernines were needed by doctors and Ron and i were covered in them once again just recent. Ron missed some on his body, got hospitalised, not sure but think a blood poisoning scare.
So to all wherever you seek be careful of the other dangers that hide also. Winters coming--The best time for adventure. Good luck for all! Dee

I believe persistence is the key. Rons mate just got a new photo, i wish i could have gotten it. He had no idea it was there. He just took snapshots as he walked. The pic shows its face well, and when u blow it up you can see a little one in front of it. The best thing is he took another snapshot and the thing was turning away( so that shows its not branches looking like something). It really is a great photo. I do hope he releases it on here for all to see. And i would love for it to be looked at by a professional. He would never ever hoax. I just want it looked at properly so if it is what we THINK it is, what a great piece of evidence. I might see if Ron and I can get permission to show both pics to you all.

You are correct YC, but eventually you can talk away but evidence is crucial, so in a way you have to persist with footage.
Lets say my powder shows up large feet, its just another photo out there, people have casted footprints for ages, it seems this isnt enough. We need solid evidence eventually. The hair samples i have sent away and still havnt gotton back, IF its of an unknown species it will only comeback as not cow, horse, dog bla bla bla, it still wont be evidence, luckily mine has the white dna tips still on them so eventually if they get the same dna worldwide then maybe in 30 years they MAY declare it as something.
Yes, they know we have cams, thats where our trust will come in.

We need that video, and yes we may never get it but thats why we all need to keep going. I dont care who gets it but how awesome would it be to watch such a great creature in live viewing .But then we need to ask ourselves Would you put it out there lol. In my books, get it on film before it dissapears (claps hands)

Hey Dee thats amazing you have done so well taking any advice from me but i think thats good advice not to get over obsessed and same advice a few have told me.

You dont get anywhere being half assed though and youve done great gathering info and footage. Hope you get that movie or doco out.

Hope Ron is ok. Those ticks sound very nasty!

Thats cool about the photo. You say there was a young one. Was it hanging onto the head of the big one or holding it?

Hi YB, its been a while. Without your advice, knowledge and support i doubt i would be where i am today. You have been a great mentor and have been through a lot also. The pic of the little one looks to be sitting in front of the tall hairys feet. Its hard to tell but looks like a baby, not a jundundee. Its eyes are really big and you can see its facial details well along with the mums? facial details.I am not sure but after viewing it many times it looks to me the adult may be holding up a Deer/equine head across its chest. I could be completely wrong though.Been trying to call Ron, phones of-very unusual, hope hes ok.

Hi, yes, it is so painstaking having to go through all the snapshots and videos over and over again, i have sent some to yb in the past and hes been nice enough to go through some for me. It is suprising when something does show up. I agree, it does work.Be nice if they just came forward and waved to the cam lol.

Ha I do the same thing if i get the creeps or hear a noise like the camera will keep em at bay. Sure have got a lot of bush turkeys but do get some interesting images at times. I like the burst shots. A lot can happen in a few seconds.

i dont want to sound negative but i believe your dna evidence it will be covered up & it will come back as a rare Goat or something. someone in that position just cant say its a Yowie. Hey i could be wrong..You have to know the person doing the the dna, my advice is go to a university & find someone who is studying dna some young kid. that will be the hard part finding someone..well thats i would do, they would have to be interested in Yowies or something along those lines & give it to them to test haha. They will feel privileged in finding out..lol.. That my 3 cents worth this time lol.

Yep i hear you on the video..be great to get one on vid thats my plan.

do the cams set off any noises or beams i dont know how they work.??

Hi yowie chaser, if it comes back as unknown species Rusty let me know just to hold onto the strands for ages. 1 day down the track, maybe years to come i may be able to use them then for evidence.I didnt send all the strands away, i only sent 2 strands of each set i had. Just incase they dont come back.

Most all my bushcams are basic ones with 20m infra red distance $90. They have a pin but i have to collect them to view ( playback)if i had caught anything on them. My others alert me as soon as it takes a pic or video and sends me the information at my house(or wherever i am) and i can immediately view the footage $260. I have a sim in them and pay $30 for aprox 6 months worth.Even though aldi has emailed me tonight stating there doing away with 3 g network so i will have to change my sims over if my equipment takes 4g. I have no idea, im bad at tech. Will have to get someone to look at it for me. Suprisingly aldi keeps reception.
All my bushcams to not show up the red light but i "think" they do flash the red maybe when it takes a pic.I mostly have them on pic mode(not video so they can last weeks out in the bush).I only keep buying cause its tax deductable 4 me as i am security and also use them at nightshift for work--and boy they have come in handy!
I purchased the Sony voice recorders advised by Rusty. And soon will be purchasing a specific camera that can only be used for nightwork, its $230 from some ghost paranormal site.

My police cam i wear on me is also tax deductable--thank god.
I have a 900 long 6 drawer dresser full of equipment now, over 2 years in the making and loads of rechargeable batteries.I love my beanies for winter with the lights sewn in in the front lol.

Hey Dee, im trying to work out why the Yowie avoids them from everything ive heard he knows there about. this might be question for Rusty do they emit a light or signal that scares them or a light they can see & they keep away or is it a smell on the equipment that keeps them away.
